LOL, I've never even seen snow. Besides, I start shaking like crazy once the temperature drops under 18 °C (~65 °F).

That's good to hear.

Nothing official yet. A couple of days ago I told my friends in the US (the same people telling me I should move there), that I was seriously planning on following their advice, but because of political and economical issues in my country (having foreign currency here is illegal) it would take me more than a year to

LOL, thanks. And you are right, your mistakes don't make you look so good, but when compared to ours... well, lets just say it makes the US look like the garden of eden.

Thank you, I'll keep that in mind.

Truth be told, I wish I didn't have to leave this country. I was born here, I grew up here, I graduated from the university here, I met the world's most beautiful and amazing woman here, and most of my family and friends are here.

I haven't looked into it myself, but I do plan on doing so next year. I still have a whole year before I can save up enough money to give it a try, so I'll take that time to read about all that I need to do for both of us to make it over there.

Funny thing, I've talked to many people in the US who had no idea where in the world Venezuela is. There was even a guy who said "no way!" when I told him it's in South America.

I don't speak Portuguese though. And about the jealousy part, my girlfriend is very beautiful so she doesn't really have to worry about me looking for someone else. Besides we live in Venezuela so... yeah... XD

Well, I'm white, but my girlfriend isn't. To be honest, I'm more worried about her safety and emotional well being than my own, so that I'll keep that in mind when looking for a place to live.

Thank you :)

Yeah, a friend told me I should look into Oklahoma (he lives there), or Texas. I have yet to decide where to try my luck, I don't like the cold, but given the chance I wouldn't really care that much.

I have a few friends, mostly the guys I've been playing a certain online game for over a year now. They are actually the guys who pitched the idea to me in the first place.

I haven't been mugged this year... I count that as a pretty lucky year for me so far.

Yeah, I plan on going through the whole legal process. I think that if I'm going to live in someone else's country then I owe them at least the effort of doing so legally.

Venezuela.

Every country has problems, and I'm not really expecting my plan to be a walk in the park. Either way, comparing your problems in the US with my own over here (Venezuela), I don't think it can get any worse anyways.

I'm actually planning on moving to the US, find a job and then bring my GF over so we can both start a new life there (the country where I live is a horrible place to be)... but reading stuff like this really bothers me.

Look at any GTAV video and tell me what part of it is "fine" when it comes to glamorizing stuff.

If you'd excuse me, I'm going to hug my girlfriend and cry for the next 5-10 min. Be back later...
