My truck hates going to Florida. Every time I get there a malfunction always occurs. Call it a coincidence but I am a firm believer that anything doesn’t want to go to Florida.

Where the hell are you getting this information from? Every carrier wants the driver to push their limits as long as they’ve got the legal time to do it. That means 11 hours to drive in a 14 hour period in a 70 hour 8 day week. They dont care if you only average 550 miles a day, they want to see you drive every minute…

Actually, mega carriers are pushing for it because it pushes smaller companies with a lot less man power out of the industry. These major carriers have a lot of trucks to relay freight so this keeps the shitty new driver turnover high as they pay them a few pennies a mile to drive while the experienced and safe…

In America, we’ve got about 50 billion more trucks than Australia so it is a huge head ache with the 40,000 trucks that are goverend at around 60mph. Governing the rest will only make that headache even worse.

And force all these asshole companies to accommodate safe haven truck parking instead of forcing them to all run at the same time looking for parking and trying to run to deliver at the same time.

America has much more modern EOBRs. We dont fuss around with silly paper disks.

School buses don’t drive anything like trucks. School buses are emply barrels with seats. Trucks hunker down and cruise away designed for highway driving. Big difference.

I dont know what you’re talking about but your average AMERICAN and Asian 4 banger 130hp 4 cylinder car will make it to 100mph without a fuss. Yes, if you didn’t know, even MURICA makes cheap 4 bangers to compete with them rice burners you hate so much.

I live in California where EVERYONE speeds but in Texas, EVERYONE drives ridiculously slow on the left lanes leaving only the right lane open for passing only now you have to dodge merging cars. Class A you mean. Class A drivers license can be issued to an 18 year old as long as its intrastate trucking. They’re trying to push to legalize 18 year old interstate trucking because they can’t get enough veterans to work for free but making children work for free is easier.

I say as a fan of 3, not renewing Clarkson’s contract for Top Gear was an excellent idea now. The show was getting a bit tired and this change of fate may have got the guys creativity reignited. I’ve got high hopes for the next show.
