I'm not surprised. My 3G started rebelling against me right after I placed the order. Buzzer started sounding funny, it's barely audible and can't be felt. The power button stopped working. The silence button toggles itself and does so frequently. Speaker stopped working (most of the time).

Ease of setup really. One cable to your receiver and you're done Vs. having to plug the Apple TV to your receiver, and plug the Apple TV to a power supply, and then get it on the network and sync your phone. Which, I've never done, so it might be easier than that, but even so, I'm sure it can't beat just plugging in…
