No kidding. There is little reason they couldn't market them as Chevys. Ford has been successful in raising their transaction prices and shedding their image as just cheap transportation. Chevy could have used the good Pontiacs to move Chevy upscale.

My technique is to choose a flexible gear to eliminate slifts. 3rd works pretty good for around town. I can get it rolling and keep up with in-town traffic without having to shift. Alternatively, I will rev out a lower gear and then skip to a high gear with only one shift - the Powerglide method.

I like LS swaps, unless it is into Ford. They are quite light so weight and balance shouldn't be a concern.

As a FYI, typically you con't have to kill the sheep to use their wool. Is there a market for sheep leather?

In the 5.0 world, heads and cams are considered bolt ons. I am pretty sure the picture shows an explorer intake manifold which flows pretty good. With some aftermarket or well ported stock or explorer heads 300 hp isn't out of the question.
