Fair points, but they don’t exactly line up with your claim the Last Jedi is the only interesting Star Wars media project they’ve done. It’s guilty of all the sins you’ve laid at the feet of the other projects. Less pandering maybe (though there’s still plenty in there) but it suffers from a lot of the same issues.

Sure, as *cameos*. I’m not saying it’s devoid of the stuff but at least a lot of the time original trilogy stuff is brought in it’s either minor or directly related to the plot. There isn’t, for example, unnecessary references to “miniaturised Death Star tech”.

In other words she’s realising how little being a right wing simp actually pays (both in terms of money and fame) and is regretting throwing away her own Star Wars TV show to star in right wing propaganda pieces where she gets her hair sniffed. But instead of... y’know apologising and trying to rebuild those bridges

I wouldn’t go that far. I don’t think it’s even the best movie out of the new stuff, Rogue One is generally better. Even if you set aside the fact it’s not a good Star Wars film (a statement I agree with) and that it’s a bad middle part to a trilogy it’s still got some issues. Not enough to make it a bad film, just

Only? It isn’t even the most interesting Star Wars film Disney has done. Rogue One is better and has less member berries than TLJ did. There’s also the Mandalorian and the masterpiece that is Andor.

Calling Last Jedi a “perfect cinematic masterpiece” is some ridiculous hyperbole. Even judged in isolation from the trilogy it’s supposed to be a part of and the wider Star Wars universe it’s a good film but c’mon it’s not *that* good. It isn’t even the best film Rhian Johnson has directed. And while I think it’s a

Bittersweet? It’s depressing. I’ll give you that she might be starting to move on (even if the game doesn’t do the best job of demonstrating that, since again it devotes far less time to her moving on than it does Abby moving on) but it literally throws everything it cost her in your face.

I mean it’s not really the only one like it. Others, including Sony, have copied it. And I doubt the mainstream will be streaming games even by 2034. Internet infrastructure is so bloody slow to improve that it’s going to take a very long time, before fast and more importantly reliable internet is widespread enough

If you ignore all of her friends being murdered as a direct result of that revenge, and losing her relatively comfortable and privileged position with the WLF.

Yeah it's also common for abusers to have been victims of abuse themselves. It's a vicious cycle.

You don’t understand the problem with it because the whole “people are just mad because they killed Joel” thing is just a mostly made up strawman by defenders of the game. I’ve seen barely anyone who lists it as their main point of contention with the story. Same reason why people try to claim everyone who doesn’t

Oh true I guess. I kinda don’t remember the scene in vivid detail. Was just another crappy thing in a line of crappy things. Still it’s not the worst thing, it’s basically “movie sex” which is rarely realistic. There’s enough wrong with the game that it’s just like eh. The narrative ramifications were far worse than

It doesn’t even know what message it’s trying to send. Superficially it’s all like “Revenge bad! Don’t do revenge!”. Yet Abby gets her revenge, finds peace. Ellie doesn’t, is left empty and broken. But yeah the premise was flawed from the off by deciding to try and make us sympathise with the Fireflies after what they

Definitely a mistake to play TLOU2. About the only thing that humanises Abby are her interactions with Lev. The Firefly's were evil, the WLF were evil, she signed up to both of them. And she was a dipshit to her "friends".

Even as someone who thinks TLoU2 was deeply flawed, a waste of potential, and just plain badly written (with lots of awful pacing, mixed messages, and occasional sexist undertones) I just don’t get this. It’s a video game for crying out loud. Yes I dislike it but I do not feel any desire to take it out on real people

I love KH to the point of featuring it in my wedding (wasn’t so nerdy as to theme it around it but it definitely made its way into some details like music selection) but I’d struggle to call KH3 near perfect. Kingdom Hearts is something you have to love despite its flaws, and KH3 had plenty of those.

I mean come to think of it the cookie thing is the biggest "controversy" I've heard regarding her. And it's about as vanilla as you get.

Cry more loser.

Using exclusivity as a competitive edge will likely happen. But at the end of the day it’s only a small part of it. And it’s hard to compete with just exclusives alone when there’s no other barriers to the ecosystem. Using PC as an example anyone can download Steam and the Epic Games store. Epic have tried to use

I love the sound of utterly defeated idiots on the internet. Music to my ears. Keep it coming.
