Yeah in my household the TV is just split between me and my fiancée and she doesn’t play that many console games and we watch a lot of stuff together. We plan on kids eventually though and stuff like this is going to be a lot more appealing when they’re old enough to be demanding TV time.

By and large most of it is tame but like any sandbox type game there’s a lot of potential for inappropriate content. More so than something like Minecraft as well because the tools are a lot more flexible. It’s also primarily online and mostly played by children so caution is advised in who they interact with. It’s

What always sticks in my head is way back when Kotaku's sister site Gizmodo would always claim that they were "bloggers" whenever they were called out on their lack of journalistic standards or criticized for doing something stupid. But suddenly they were "journalists" whenever they wanted to sound important, or act

Unfortunately I think what the game really needs is an overhaul to the combat. Too much of the endgame stuff is locked behind the harder dungeons. But they're not hard in a fun way, they're just tedious. The combat is just far too clunky and the enemies do too much damage which basically force you to cheese it by

Even setting aside the questionable decision to try and set up more mediocre live action movies with the rights they’re clutching on to (which has given us the excellent Spider-verse so I can’t say it’s all bad) and trying to build their own abortive cinematic universe the scenes are just bad. Vulture is just randomly

I mean fair. But it still feels overplayed and a bit of a crutch that they lean on with their films. Even when something is well executed it can still get a bit tiring after seeing it too many times. As I said I'm sure Elemental is fine but I'm in no rush to see it, likely will be one of those movies we switch on when

I think it’s also that the kind of formula it’s based on (take inanimate objects or non-sentient creatures and add sentience) is a little beyond trite at this point. I’m sure the movie is fine but it’s pretty much the exact same template as Zootopia only with elements instead of Animals. And Pixar especially has

Pretty good is a bit of an exaggeration but yeah it was fine until it went off the rails. But my god those after credits scenes. To this day I can't believe someone was paid to write those.

It may potentially have some uses as a boring behind the scenes industry technology. But it’s absolutely worthless as a consumer level technology, hence why the NFT market crashed and burned. Ultimately it’s at the consumer level where the grifters have been trying to sell people on the blockchain and it’s why people

the emotional core is probably the strongest of ANY superhero film ever made”

For me it worked because it was a natural evolution that took place over what... 8? 9 films? And was the characters last (at least for now) appearance.

DC super heroes just don't make for good characters in general. Their main roster of heroes is drawn from the so-called "golden age" of comics back when they could get away with simplistic story telling and two dimensional characters. Where comics were just as much propaganda than anything else. About the only

Yeah they say post-endgame as if there’s been nothing good after that. And while there’s been some misses on the Marvel side and some that are just eh there’s also been some solid films. Far from home and No Way Home are both post endgame, Shang-Chi was pretty great, and Guardians 3 was quite probably the best

I sincerely doubt it can top Spider-verse. Or Guardians 3, or No Way Home, or Far from Home, or Shang-Chi. And honestly saying it's one of the best DC superhero movies isn't really saying much considering it doesn't take much to top a generally bad bunch.

They will, they can, and they have used their resources from outside the gaming market. But throwing piles of cash into a business doesn’t magically make it successful.

Yeah I mentioned trying to play the fan remake as well, I just didn’t get very far.

Quest for Glory was an amazing series. I think it benefitted from having different designers to some of the other Sierra games at the time. The second I always struggled to get into because of the text interface (there was the point and click remake for the first), I’ve tried to play the fan remake but never really

True, but at least you can’t save the game in an unwinnable state. Which was kind of the hallmark of the Sierra model.

Was a real gem, and unusual for adventure games at the time because it had more replay value than average.

There isn’t really any point in the consoles lifecycle where they could release a slim and not have people decide to wait for it rather than buying the current model though. And honestly the situation with the scalping and low stocks probably helps Sony in this instance rather than hurting them. They’ve been selling
