Most of those kickstarters only reached their goals within the past few months!

The story of Star Ocean? *shudder*
the game looks great though!

I really wanted it until I heard about that. I can't support or encourage that kind of underhanded fleecing.

Whoopsie! But please be aware I don't know if they've patched this out of the US release.

Everybody dies early in survival horror. It'd be infuriating to die within the first five minutes of play and be unable to try again for 24 hours. It'd also greatly reduce the player's ability to get acquainted with the game's mechanics and improve his/her skill through repetition....leading to more and more deaths,…

In the new Jojo's Bizarre Adventure game for PS3, after you've fought enough campaign battles, there's a timer until you can play again. You can pay to skip the timer.

Yeah, true that. I usually don't save my map when I die in Etrian Odyssey so I don't get confused as to how much I've grinded and found—unless all I've mapped is a multitude of dead ends.

IIRC, In Etrian Odyssey 4, playing on easy denied you access to certain achievement badges. But that was purely cosmetic/bragging rights. The game also allowed you to change the difficulty back and forth on the fly.

Richard, did you get a Game Over? In Etrian Odyssey, if you get a game over, the game gives you the option to save your current map before booting you back to the title screen. I imagine it's probably the same in this game?

Let me guess, MRA trying to smear feminist discourse? You've picked a hell of a venue for it.

i'm all for fighting thousands of years of continual systematic dehumanization of 50% of the population, really i am.

"Female" is not objectifying in English.

A miserable little pile of secrets!

How about a new Paper Mario, that actually has the characteristics that made fans love the series to begin with? Partners, experience...a plot...

OH DAISY! I had a comic book based on this game involving a child finding a third door at the end of the stage that brought Mario into the real world to solve all his problems.

I get your point now. Didn't mean to overstep! Sorry about that.

I feel ya!

So, should Nintendo sue the makers of 3D Dot Game Heroes? Or even Beyond Good and Evil?
