Winning record means nothing from his perspective, he is in advertising. Increased sales is his trophy.

Smart move on his part actually. COTA recently blamed Mexico GP for poor ticket sales....same thing would happen here.
I think you just gave Brian France a great idea!
Instead of having those 39 pesky non-chasers cluttering up the track in Homestead, 4 car shootout....track to themselves. (or start with 20 in the playoffs and have the final 8 run a heat race in Homestead)
I have a feeling that Matt Kenseth isn’t too upset about suddenly having 6 extra free days during western Wisconsin hunting season.
I grew up heavily involved in dirt track racing about 90 miles SW of Madison, so I am kind of a Kenseth fan. (more of a Logano hater, but it isn’t anything personal with Beavis, I don’t like any snot nosed silver spooners with shitty attitudes or their soccer dads) I do respect Matt’s old school sensibilities. I also…
besides, contact was 22 front bumper to 20 rear bumper.....Beavis ran into the car that was in front of him. He could have chosen to crack the throttle for a tenth of a second but he did not. Therefore, Beavis ran into him.
It isn’t any different than a slide job on a dirt track...the car in front has position.
There are three pedals in the car.....two of them would have resulted in zero contact between the two cars in Kansas. Beavis chose to use the third one which has resulted in him getting crashed out in Martinsville.
There were no bonus points to be had by Beavis in Kansas, points are reset after each round and he was already qualified for the next round.
There certainly was the aspect of eliminating a potential contender from the next round....which is most likely what happened in Martinsville yesterday.
I will suggest that you are the moron for buying into the illusion that this is auto racing or that rules (whether written or unwritten) that apply to certain types of auto racing would be relevant or apply here.
Maybe you should watch the video again, Beavis hit Kenseth in the left rear, not the left side. He was no where near alongside when the contact happened. If Beavis would have used his head and backed off from the meaningless pass, he might have had a better day in Martinsville.
What remains to be seen is if Beavis…
You are saying that Logano did NOT hit Kenseth in Kansas?
You do realize that opinion is contrary to ummmm......EVERYONE ELSE. Even the staunchist Beavis fans know that he ran into the back Kenseth and wrecked him.
Punting is hitting someone in the rear.....at least in the rest of the world, not sure about yours.
Do you think Beavis will second guess next time? He won the battle and lost the war.
Did ANYONE have any doubt that Kenseth would pay back Beavis for Kansas? If so, you must be new to NASCAR....this sort of thing has been going on since day 1. Petty, Roberts, Baker, Pearson....I bet all of them parked a guy or two in their time for perceived indiscretions.
Kenseth made it count. He promised that…
I never said he adjusted his line. I said that Beavis punted him. There are three pedals in the car, two of them slow the car down.
This whole thing in Martinsville came about because Beavis punted Kenseth for a position that meant nothing to him and everything to Kenseth. Do you think Beavis learned his lesson? Not…
So Beavis won the battle and lost the war.
Lesson learned, big picture counts.
Beavis punted Kenseth intentionally while racing for position. A position that meant NOTHING to Beavis.
I agree, they were racing for position in Kansas. A position that meant NOTHING to Beavis, yet he intentionally wrecked Kenseth!
So you have zero financial stake in the business of NASCAR? You gotta admit, after last week’s debacle, this will keep them talking for a few days.
And it will have everyone talking about NASCAR for the next 48 hours, so he is not wrong.
(Brian France is still an idiot, but he is not wrong)
Why do you say that? This is exactly what Brian France wants. he thinks it will drive ratings.
