Oh, I’m sure my DSMs were probably more fun (and definitely faster), but the Esprit is just so Goddamn sexy. What I really need is a 4G63 swapped Esprit.

I don’t care if they are heaps of shit, if I ever have the disposable income, I’m buying one. I just think of them as the DSM of exotics: portly built, temperamental, and broken as often as running, but still so Goddamn sweet I just refuse to accept its a bad idea.
I’ve reinstalled my Win 7 OEM copy on 4 different computers over the last 10 years. Works every time for some reason.
This is SO much better written than anything else that has come out of FA since Tyler left. Thank you.
Oh, theres no way to justify it outside of winning the damn lotto, but itd be a hoot.
Speaking of conversion vans, if I ever get rich, Im converting an Econoline conversion to 4wd and lifting that shit. Wheeling in comfort.
A 6 cyl and manual Jeep will outlive us all.
My last ride was a ZJ. Had a lifted 2nd gen Ram before that. I know all about “those goddamn transmissions”
Ah yeah. I’ve heard the same from a friend in Montana. Seems they’ve all been trashed into oblivion. Durangos are mostly gone here too. Combination of rust and transmission failures, but the Jeep guys just keep replacing their trannies. Durango owners sell theirs to Jeep owners as cores I think lol.
Where do you live that ZJs are rare? Even firmly in the northern illinois rust-belt I see them all the damn time.
Actually, it does help. The build quality has improved substantially since the Chinese bought them. It was Ford ownership that led to all the corner-cutting before.
On the one hand, I want to be pissed off about this. On the other hand, I honestly thought they were free to sell my data and were doing it the whole time already, so...
This mission took me like 10 minutes and one try.
Glad those guys from the Jeep factory were able to land new jobs after their move to Germany.
If I’m close enough that I’m waiting for my visions to (hopefully) return and checking myself for burns, and my only option is my wooden house and a quick shower, I’m just eating a bullet and getting it over with.
I never thought about a drag racer doing Top Gear before, but now I really,REALLY want to see John Force reviewing supercars. “ITWASDOINGGRERATANDTHENWEWENTINTOTHEFIRSTCORNERANDSHEWASALLBRRRAPBRAPBRAPPOPOPOPOPHITTINGTHEREVLINITERGETTINGSIDEWAYSANDSHEJUSTHELDONANDWEWENTINTOTHESTRAIGHTANDSHEJUSTKICKEDLIKEAMULE!” With…
Except, you are equally wrong. That’s not what closed vs open loop is either. Yes, closed loop is used at idle, but also at cruising speeds, and low RPM/throttle values, and isn’t only used to richen up fuel delivery when cold. It sounds like you only heard half the closed vs open description, not this guy.
I’m just glad I’m not the only one around here old enough to get the reference, so we can share in having the theme stuck in our heads together.
All I can think watching that GIF is “Theorizing that one could fast travel within his own lifetime, Dr. Link Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap Accelerator...and vanished”
There’s a joke here about Dodge finally giving up on build quality entirely and just giving you tools instead, but it’s just too damn obvious for me to make.
