Manning’s about the only one in that trifecta of fuckery worthy of any kind of respect. She fucked with OPSEC something serious, and definitely violated her oath of service to the military, but at least she had the courage of her convictions required to face the consequences of her actions.

Snowden leaked his info to

God, man, it just doesn’t get any less funny. I’m freaking out. Utterly incredible that these people are real.

Trying to justify it by saying these are “industry-standard established ranges based on experience” is especially fucked-up, given the strength of their resumes. He had one movie screenwriting credit and one “story by” credit prior to Crazy Rich Asians. She’d been writing for television for two decades. It’s a flimsy

Seeing Bernie win the nomination would be entertaining for no other reason than I think he’s the one most likely to just flat out call Trump a grifting asshole and lying son of a bitch in the debates.

White privilege Barbie: “bipartisanship”

It might be really fantastic to just leave it alone.

I don’t hate Joe Biden, but I do think he’s a wildly milquetoast candidate, and it’s a terrible idea to run him in 2020.

Anybody who ever says that it doesn’t make sense because it’s not canon, is so wildly unfamiliar with just how many versions of Batman and the Joker have been made.

People put a lot of thought into the prequel for a character that, at some point, will hold Commissioner Gordon hostage over a giant acid filled cream pie until Batman deduces that Gordon is being held in the old, abandoned Gotham Giant Cream Pie Factory.

This movie looks amazing. Joaquin Phoenix is incredible, and this looks like an appropriately dark tale. I can’t wait for it.

The trailer looks good, and we already know Joaquin Phoenix can act. The only question remains, can Todd Phillips deliver as a serious writer and director?

His performance in the trailers has definitely taken this from “why are they making this” to “maybe it’s...good?” territory for me.

Joaquin Phoenix has steadily evolved into an actor who elevates anything and everything. Even if the movie is somehow awful (and I find that tough to believe, because these trailers suggest it’ll be watchable at the absolute least) I genuinely feel like Phoenix is going to be incredible.

I honest to God have no idea who you’re arguing with right now.

HARD disagree! It’s not even the best of the 3 (thatd be 2). The Danny Elfman theme is prettu good, and obviously JK Simmons is great. But MJ is a totally useless character, Dunst/Maguire have little chemistry, the Green Goblin costume looks RIDICULOUS, pretty much any of the non J Jonah Jameson dialogue is cringey....

I’m not so sure about that—based on his CCRB/Disciplinary history, Pantaleo seems like he falls into the category of “problem officers”—most officers probably don’t behave like he does. At the same time, the “good cops” don’t seem to do anything to rid the force of the “bad cops” and so become complicit in their bad

I’m for unions and therefore I’m for police unions, but it would be great if police union heads sounded less like mob bosses.

“...a Cop Is Being Held Accountable for Eric Garner’s Death.”

Fuck em. Especially since they are largely responsible for shielding officers from accountability when they fuck up.

MAKE ALL POLICE LIABILITY PAYMENTS COME FROM THE COPS’ PENSION, NOT THE TAXPAYER.
