According to an earlier story on Jezebel, the announcers asked all the fans to take selfies and text the pics to them (can’t remember for what purpose) and then the cameraperson scanned the crowd and zeroed in on the girls. Then the announcers started making fun of them. Pretty messed up.

Exactly. TV killed baseball because it’s not continuously action-packed. Think about “Take Me Out to the Ballgame”: being a baseball fan is all about going to the stadium and hanging out for an afternoon.

Why do you care? I mean why in the actual fuck should we care whether they paid any attention to the game? They paid to be there just like everyone else, so it's really their prerogative to pay attention or not. Them not paying attention affects you literally 0%.
