It would be more acceptable to use Native American if a) the First Nations people of Canada didn't prefer the term First Nations, and b) the US didn't name its citizens after a continent with multiple countries. American = citizen of the US, thus people who do not want to be seen or mistaken as American avoid the term.

I only use flat sheets during the summer since they let me keep more covers without cooking me during the night (I have a hard time sleeping if I don't have a certain amount of blankets on me). The rest of the year I vastly prefer direct contact with my blankets.

Ugh, that's horrible! What is it about working retail/ food service jobs that makes so many people suddenly apathetic about not only the health of the people working those jobs, but the health of everyone entering the establishment (not to mention significant events such as deaths)? I know that for my job, I had to do

Once I was called into a manager's office to "discuss" why I had called in sick more times than the industry standard in a year (I had called in something like 7 times, 5 is industry standard) because they were cracking down on people gaming the system (wut?). Apparently despite having a ruptured ovarian cyst and

I guess I shall point to this now if someone complains about my frequent usage of "uh" and short pauses. Being thought of as being considerate is less embarrassing and frustrating than trying to explain a speech impediment and how using filler words lets me sort out thoughts so I don't jump around.

A lot of people seem to be missing this. If you spend all morning and afternoon doing the work multiple people were meant to do then came home to cook and clean not just for you but for another adult who is perfectly capable of doing it themselves, of course by the time 8 or 9 rolls around you can only really manage

As of this comment, Razer's Facebook page has 5,148,026 likes and they post about once per day (sometimes multiple times per day). You may not think that anyone would bother to follow a gaming peripheral company, but a lot of people do — particularly the rabid fans.

If it's like what happened with the gaming mice poll, halfway through Razer got wind of it and posted a link on their Facebook and pretty much said "go here and vote for Razer so we win". None of the other companies whose products were in the running publicized the poll — let alone told their fans to deliberately skew

I'm the same way! I love organizing shit at work and working the small, fiddly things that everyone else hates (which has lead to me getting possessive of them because everyone else screws it up *cough*). It's so much more relaxing and I feel like I actually accomplished something at the end of the say. If the company

Precisely. So many people think biting isn't a big deal or is funny, but not only does it hurt but the amount of follow-up checks and care is so time consuming (and, since this happened in the US, probably cost the employee money out-of-pocket).

I'm curious about this, too. There should at least be an assault charge in there if it happened, because trying to bite someone is pretty serious (not to mention dangerous given how easily human bites get infected).

HA! That kid sure learned his lesson. I also have a cat-related gif.

Yes! If you can't be without free wi-fi for an hour, buy a data plan that lets you have internet access without needing a primary wi-fi source.

It's obvious that she's not interested and is just trying to spare his feelings and not have the internet attack her for "being a bitch" for turning him down.

I wish that they just used proper measurements for the size (or at least listed the measurements somewhere on the tag). It makes it so much easier to find (and buy!) something when you don't need to grab half a dozen different sizes of the same thing because every brand is different. Also, as someone with long legs,

That's definitely a better option, in my opinion. If the chip only has a range of, say, 6-12 inches and only a custom reader/controller can actually access it, that seems fairly safe and manageable.

Indeed.

And of course there's no way to hack an app or the app to have a bug or some security flaw which makes it utterly useless to monitor the chip.

Probably. I loved this game as a kid and for some reason have had no luck with ROM's of it.
