Actually, I think knowing what someone likes can be important. On one hand, having at least one common interest means you're on the same page about something and can relate and bond over it. On the other hand, if someone likes something or someone you have issues with, it can be a red flag that things won't work. I

I'll find this an interesting experiment. Obviously the whole thing reeks of a publicity stunt and viewers will likely be lead to sympathize with the lone man, but what I'm most curious about is the conversations and discussions that will go on. I can't stand a lot of talk news shows because two or three people

Also lacking from this list: Crunchie bars. Apparently they are also rare in the US, having to be imported. I suppose they're all too awesome for Americans to handle.

I'd say that's a large part of it, with the stigma of being a bisexual woman (see the top comment on this article for an example) causing chances to explore to be passed over for fear of getting labelled or in trouble for it.

Anna definitely wouldn't have held a grudge over it, that's for sure! I could understand Elsa initially not saying anything for fear that the memory of her having powers would somehow cause Anna more harm, but after what happened at the coronation there was really no reason not to at least say something as vague. And

Totally. I love Frozen but damn did Elsa's father screw everything up, even if he didn't mean to. Fear will be her downfall? Teach her to fear herself and fear what she can do. Her powers are growing? Teach her to ignore them and hope they go away. Also, I'm sure removing any and all friends (and sister!) and leaving

Geez, I'll never get people who get offended when someone says they tip 20+%. Sorry some of them read your comment.

Yeah, and the boring troll comments just had a bad case of losing their vowels but otherwise were left around both as a sign to commenters and trolls that what was said wouldn't be tolerated. Plus it didn't mess with the comment thread by completely removing a huge chunk of it and leaving people just coming in

I actually forgot about that woman, so I must be thinking of an article that wasn't on Jez. The woman I'm thinking of didn't go to such lengths for her viewers. Mostly she got a list of what a guy wanted her to eat, bought/prepared it, and then set up the webcam so the fellow could watch and ask questions.

I completely forgot about the entire pages dedicated to random hastags! Oh man, those made some great reading on slow days — especially since you could just type in a random hashtag and see if/what it was linked to.

It really is. It's supposed to help foster discussion, but all it really seems to do is make a troll comment the highlight comment and sometimes the top several comments are all troll comments as well. They even went and hid the dismiss button, which just exacerbated the problem. I guess in the end it's all about

There's actually a fetish some men have where they get off on watching women eat. I can't remember if it was on Jez or elsewhere, but there was an article/interview with a woman who actually makes money off of it. Men pay to tell her what to eat over webcam, and in return she eats it and describes what the food is

That is fantastic!

Also: syrup vs. maple syrup (at least in Canada)

2) what ended up getting me was Tywin tossing the wolf pelt in the fire. It just felt like a little bit of overkill. Then again, Tywin is the master of overkill...

Agreed! New Daario is quite attractive. I just wanted to help him out of all that armour because it's hot out, you know, and surely he wouldn't want to get heatstroke.

I'm in a similar boat. I don't live in the US so I torrent GoT, because the only other option is to try to get HBO Canada. Last time I checked, my cable provider only offered that in a bundle that costs $40/month on top of the cable package I already have. I'm not spending $120 to watch 10 episodes of a TV show.

I once had a guy try to argue with me that 98% of women (his number, not mine) carry a purse or bag because they like to, thus that's why women's pants have pockets not deserving of the name. He didn't get that the reason so many women carry around a superfluous piece of an outfit is not because they want to but

When I last went looking for pants, I found a horrible abomination: jeans with faux pockets! I can just imagine the jeans and designer sitting in the middle of a volcano base, laughing maniacally as they came up with that idea.

I'm really looking forward to Asha this season. The show hasn't really done much with such a great character, so hopefully that will change now that she's being set up for a bigger chunk of plot.
