I assumed this was a Guild Wars 2 cosplay of a norn ranger with her pet bear, not Merida. For one, norn actually walk around half-naked in the snow and wear animal pelts and leather and use swords — Merida is fully-clothed and favours a bow. Second, the bear is a brown bear while the bears in Brave are all black bears.

I'm in Canada and all the Walmarts I've been in have a McDonald's inside them, so I assume it's a common setup.

Yup. I've had plenty of guys thump down next to me and start spreading like I wasn't even there. Being pushed up again a window is not fun. Being pushed up against a window when the man starts talking to me (despite reading and/or listening to headphones) in a way that could easily turn bad for me also does nothing

A kid? A kid that tends to stick their fingers in their mouth at whim and not wash?

If your balls are so big or sensitive you can't sit in a relaxed (but not splayed) position, taking up one seat (which was designed by men for men), I would expect you to walk around with your legs spread wide so your thighs don't touch them and see a doctor about it because there's clearly something going on.

It's because it's a public space. As in, the men have no more right to that space than women yet they continually take up as much room as possible (claiming that space as their own) and don't often move if the train/bus gets crowded, someone who needs to sit down gets on, or when asked to move over.

This is why I never reveal my gender in games anymore. It was so exhausting to log onto WoW to be greeted by a creepy message from a guy(s) that I most likely ran one pug with where one of my asshole guildmates would scream into the mic that all DPS just got beat by a girl. Plus all the gross comments I would get when

Not exactly since condoms can fail, but condoms in conjunction with other forms of birth control, getting a vasectomy, and/or only sleeping with women who don't want kids (and lives in an area where getting Plan B or an abortion is reasonable and doable) are good ways to avoid having to pay child support while not

That it is. Even when a system such as Norway's is pointed out, so many people get up in arms about how prisoners aren't being "punished enough" despite the fact that Norway has a much, much lower recidivism rate than the US. Not only does a system such as the US' screw over prisoners by setting them up to fail (even

And by preventing them from something as basic as contact with people who care about them, it just further increases the likelihood of the prisoner reoffending once they're released. It's just a part of the cycle that keeps people in and out of prison throughout their lives because they're denied access to things that

Assuming the $21859 is before taxes, your buddy's sister-in-law works 12 hours a day (plus change), 7 days a week. With overtime that would be a bit less, but that's still more than a few hours a day unless there's some hefty commissions involved.

I have no issue with legalizing polygamy, provided everyone one involved is doing so completely willingly. However, the practice is largely steeped in forcing or coercing women who may or may not have been groomed from birth and thus knowing if everyone is 100% on-board could be difficult to determine. One or more

One of the reasons I can't stand Axe is because of this! Guys in my high school would forgo bathing and just spray Axe on in the morning, with another application after PE. Teenage guy BO + new Axe + stale Axe = never being able to stand Axe again or think of anything but teenagers when smelling it.

I really wish this would finally make it onto Steam. I loved the original and was so excited when Super Motherload was greenlit, but since then there's been next to no word about its PC version, which has been somewhat disheartening.

Japan is a bit better about it in some regards (rape games are also alright even if they're not completely condoned), but AAA games — the ones with the biggest budget, huge marketing campaigns, and tend to be the face of gaming and considered "real" games by a not so small segment of the gaming community — made in

Steam is down. Again.

Same here. I thought it was going to be a PC release when I first heard of it and was so disappointed when I heard it was PS3-exclusive. I may just have to accept that I probably won't get a chance to play it for years and just watch the 6+ hour video of all the cutscenes and relevant parts that's on Youtube.

It's not just job applications that have moved to be mostly online, either. If I were to open up several local papers, I'd find maybe a couple dozen listings, most of which are duplicates. I can find way more online and postings from the surrounding areas, not just my city.

So true. I'm currently stuck with a 10MBps download and 512KBps upload that normally costs $55 per month by itself. Oh, and the download speed only ever hits about 2MBps and there's a data cap of just over 100GB.

I don't see this ending well for the dog. Bulldogs have so many health problems they need quite a bit of care and owner(s) who know what to avoid or do if something happens.
