I owned a 1980 baby-blue Impala with the fire-breathing 305. It never ran properly despite the efforts of 3 mechanics. Finally, I took it to Citizens Chevrolet in Woodland, CA and the mechanic took one listen and said “your carb needs rebuilding”. Spot fucking on. It ran like dream after that.
