I’ve been doing a frico egg, leaving the yolk somewhat runny, then dropping the whole thing into a 6" tortilla with a bit of hot sauce and green onions on top. Fits perfectly, makes a great, crunchy, eggy, breakfast handheld.

It doesn’t matter how mobbed she’s been, if someone came running up at her, hollering and reaching from behind, her security would also stop them (if not. she needs better security). She’s embarrassed because being famous didn’t make her any better at this and she got bonked in the face. Sucks, but again, don’t go…
I love this movie. The first time I saw it in the theater, just as the first building explodes, with the explosion traveling toward the audience, just as it reached its end, a storm knocked out the power to the theater. We truly didn’t know if that silence and black screen was part of the movie or not for a few…
“But keep in mind that this is only the first step. They’re using AI art in a way where they can justify its deficiencies as a creative choice and say that they aren’t really taking work from human artists because they wanted it to look bad, actually. The next time won’t be this obvious or as brazen.”
This. Over…
Oh sure, I’m fine with that. I’ve got a job, a kid, and a spouse who doesn’t always share my preferences for what to watch, so I almost never watch stuff right away and I do so 1-2 episodes at a time. I watched Wednesday, I am also sure I did not do so within four weeks of release.
I’d also be really intrigued to see…
As others point out, this is how views are always counted. Netflix isn’t counting viewERS, but views. Much like if I come to Gizmodo four times in a day, that’s four pageviews, and pageviews is a different metric than unique visitors.
For the ongoing WGA fight over streaming revenue, the time spent watching would…
Alas. My spouse has rewatched this movie no fewer than a dozen times. I can confirm it exists, and I could do a reasonable summary of the plot. Beyond that though, I’d be lost.
I’ve been adding mushrooms to my ground beef for burgers for several years now. It does stretch the meat a bit further, but honestly, it tastes fantastic and that ‘s why I’ve kept doing it.
I mean sure, unless you’re in one of the hundreds of UMC churches that are voting to disaffiliate this year because **teh GayZzzz**. Methodism isn’t intrinsically progressive, neither is Presbyterianism or Congregationalism, just as you will find progressives in Catholic and Southern Baptist pews.
I’ve never been required to have my syllabus done and posted, or even to have my LMS open to students before the first day of class, but I’ve made a habit of it since I was a grad student. I have students who will occasionally ask a month in advance and they simply get told to wait, but I don’t want to be prepping a…
University based counseling can be good, especially in times of crisis or acute need. Be very wary of using them for anything related to the university though. For students who use campus mental health resources, their records are considered FERPA records, not HIPAA records. That means that they have the same…
Definitely this. I’ve done those evaluations for transfer credits and having a syllabus in hand makes it considerably more likely I’ll approve them.
Also, don’t wait for the first day to start looking for required materials. Both for bookstore logistics and federal “requirements” (quotations because they’re loosely enforced at best), faculty have to have textbooks adopted well in advance. You can get the list from the campus bookstore, almost surely online, and…
Mostly I love PowerToys, but Peek isn’t a strength. QuickLook (check the MS Store...no really) is faster and previews basically all filetypes. With Office files, for instance, Peek just gives you the option to open the file but QuickLook will preview it properly.
Just end the company altogether. Though it will take away some of the enjoyment I get improv’ing ways to mess with the telemarketers on the other end. Tremendous fun, and I figure any time of theirs I can waste is time they’re not able to target vulnerable people.
The company’s CEO, Dara Khosrowshahi, and its chief people officer, Nikki Krishnamurthy
Oh yes. I hated peanut butter in oatmeal, but peanut powder? It’s perfect. It goes over cold cereal too. I like it on popcorn, it’s a good way to make and tweak satay sauce, and it’s even a good way to make a lower-calorie PB&J.
When I was a kid, each of my parents had cartilage removed from their knee. They both came home with the cartilage in a little jar in alcohol. We kept them in the fridge for, what I now realize was, a shockingly long time. Never ate them or even really considered it, but seems like sending the cartilage home isn’t a…
Sure, you can appeal. Having been in higher ed for 20 years, including several spent on the committee that heard these appeals, I have never seen an appeal succeed. Not a single one. Presumption is strongly in favor of the instructor, you almost surely don’t have documentation to support your case, the documentation…
But even that stat means a teacher will wrongly accuse one in every 50 students of using AI tools to cheat.
