Right here. Under my tin-foil hat.
Jalopnik has suggested they think it's an employee, but frankly it's irrelevant as to Jalopnik. Whomever posted it, with the exception of a hacker or, somehow, an innocent discovery by a third party, was under a NDA. But that fact of who posted it is also irrelevant as to Jalopnik. Nor is the fact that Omega sent a…
It isn't relevant whether it's on their corporate page. The relevant question is who released it. A: an employee. IE, someone under Omega's direct care and control, acting alone. IE, this is not hacked in by some third party.
Matt says the YouTube video is still up. That's a real problem.
See the links I posted in reply to Matt.
Lots of plain-language discussion and some other citations in the link below, including this relevant tidbit from a Virginia Federal District Court, "[a]lthough the person who originally posted a trade secret on the Internet may be liable for trade secret misappropriation, the party who merely downloads Internet…
Penske makes the exact point - they caused the breach! You merely reported on it. It's the company's duty to ensure the secrecy of their procedures - something they've clearly already failed to do.
"Illegal Content." Yes, because a news organization reporting on and disseminating publicly-available information has always been illegal... in China.
Being a young engineer at any of the big 3, and most notoriously, GM. At best you get to have input on one single part, and any good ideas you have are instantly marginalized or outright ridiculed by management and various review groups.

Anyone who crosses the Mustangs, sleeps under the oats.
We can at least now confirm that the BRZ is actually *faster* than the V6 Mustang... if you have a really, really long road, as the V6 Mustang is limited to a non-driveshaft-exploding 112mph.
Hey! We're starting to see the benefits of those low rolling resistance Prius tires - they suck down less power at high speeds, meaning you get a whole extra mph (or two) of top speed! Great success! ;)
Remember that proverb about how it's best to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool, than open it and prove it? You might want to do a bit of reading.
Yup. My parents' basement would be a pretty badass place to live. Then I'd have plenty of time to talk about how awesome I am on the internet.
Get a job and pay for your own racing, like everybody else does.
Time to exit your cave...
I wish I could still promote, because this is the perfect counter-point to the post. Well said. And the only people who really get this are the ones who've done enough racing with actual racing vehicles to know how terrible race vehicles are for street duty, and how terrible street vehicles are for race duty.
Just quoting BMW, who've said they're making their cars softer and seats wider for fatter Americans. Pretty sure that was reported here not too long ago.
Here's hoping he doesn't turn his attention to the Mustang. Or Porsche. Or Lotus. Or, hell, even Lamborghini is catching up on some models...
