And bring a mechanic to keep up with its insane maintenance schedule. Yes, it's an incredible bike, but it's got basically only a very slightly detuned MX racing motor. That means oil changes every 10 hours, valve adjustments every 20-30hrs, and top end rebuilds every 100-150hrs. Yes, they're great, but wow are

They all have good products in one area or another. I own a Honda and a Yamaha.

Why are you asking Wes?

I think you meant to say Big Four, but were confused by your cager surroundings. However, that's quite unfair to KTM, who have quite earnestly made it the Big Five. And in particular, make some of the best DS/SM bikes in the world.

Indeed, Speed's coverage is awful. As it is for all good racing. For shame, because it looks like an absolutely amazing event. I'm dead serious that I would love to do it, but as with all racing, it costs money that I don't have. Hopefully one day.

Very cool. I love watching the (much abbreviated) highlights of that race on Speed every year. I'd love to do it myself... once I'm old and rich and can afford things like shipping a car to an island for a race.

Although they have plenty of F1 cars and one JPS car, none are Senna's. They do have once of Nelson Piquet's, though. I've taken detailed photos of all of their F1 cars:

The Barber Museum. A gearhead can easily spend two days in there. It is absolutely stunning. And, lest you think it's all bikes, as this very site has noted [jalopnik.com] , the museum has some extremely rare cars as well, including James Garner's car, John Surtees' World Championship Ferrari, a stable of

Thanks for the race report, Matt. I think it's pretty interesting what they're doing, particularly in light of the 2014 rules that are going to make hybrids very, very desirable for their lower net fuel consumption vs. speed.

Honestly, if you lost a 200hp car at 20mph, you should have your license revoked. That is an incredible failure of even the most basic car control. Though this will certainly be a theme among FR-S and BRZ owners.

Precisely. And the fee structure is built entirely upon that dupe - they're collecting a commission fee whether or not a sale actually ever occurred, whether for that price or some other price. Very, very dubious IMO.

You're not far off, but it's even less formal than that - essentially it's an offer only. No there's no acceptance until the dealer actually agrees to sell the vehicle to you. And unlike a real estate contract, you have no recourse no matter the circumstances or damages.

Just to clarify for other readers, you mean the seller's payment for the listing, not the buyer's purchase payment.

So Apple makes a premature announcement to generate PR buzz for themselves, uses other companies as pawns (as clearly it didn't inform them), and it's the car companies' faults? Yes, you've got an excellent point there.

No, it isn't. That's what it means when it says "All eBay motors bids are non-binding." They also state that "While eBay can't guarantee the completion of the sale or require members to complete a sale when a listing isn't binding [...]," meaning there is no contract formed and no requirement to sell.

It can't be both, though. Either the bid is non-binding or it's binding. eBay says explicitly that it's non-binding and does NOT create a contract. Therefore, there's no remedy to enforce that line that says a seller can't back out for a bid not being high enough, because there's nothing to back out of in the first

Honestly, someone just needs to sue eBay for misrepresentation. An individual suit probably wouldn't work, but a class action would. We see these stories at least once every couple of months, and that's just the ones that create enough stir to be circulated around.

I think you're confusing the Mustang with the Camaro. The Mustang's easier to see out of than my e46 was.

Now playing

Formula Offroad is cool and all, but motocross is far away the craziest racing in the world. This is RedBud, LaRocco's leap. A 120' long, 5 story high, uphill step-up triple. It's just part of the regular track. How long is 120'? Your standard 18 wheeler trailer is 53'. You'd need to jump over two and a quarter

Hey, even big rigs get 31mpg on the highway going down hill. I think Newton had something to say about that.
