I hereby nominate this as the greatest moment in Jalopnik history. Clarkson correcting two commenters with poor English skills was funny. A Jalop commenter turned Jalop writer riding shotgun w/ Seb Vettel through open New Jersey city streets at triple digits? That's pretty freakin epic. I'm mega jelly of you

Ha, well sure, but the absolute cheapest e30 325 cost over double that of the Mustang at the time - $10,500 to $21,475. The M3 didn't show up till '88 and it cost a whopping $34,000; over 3x the Mustang!

THANK YOU for bringing racing to Jalopnik. Seriously, this is awesome. Well done, Matt!

Guess you don't follow much racing, huh? The Mustang is one of the more popular cars in the Grand-Am Continental series, and won the championship in '05, '08, and '09. Jack Roush, Jr. is currently in 5th place in the current season, driving a Mustang, just 17pts out of first place. The Mustang is also Rolex

Your time machine was partially correct. Head to your nearest drag strip and look around. Throw a rock in any direction and you'll hit a 5.0 foxbody. Now, head to... any track and try to find me a Corolla doing anything that isn't LeMons or rubber burning ballet competitions.

I'm not hating on the BRZ. And the GT will actually out-handle it.

Well, consider me lost. This sentence seems to suggest that it only works with iPhones: "What Apple is promising is a button on the steering wheel that lets you use Siri on your iPhone for voice controls through your car's infotainment system."

She drives a Volt. Prima facie evidence of lacking ability to reason. To her and anyone like her, video very much related.

Yes, let's engineer our cars for the lowest common denominator of, what was it, 20 people who can't figure out their foot is planted on the gas rather than the brake? Out of how many millions of drivers on the road?

That may be fine that it uses a common connection method, but that doesn't mean it can access newer functions on newer phones without a firmware update for the car. Which is already assuming that Apple would continue to make such functions backward-compatible to work with the in-car systems. That is the secondary

The new Mustang GT 5.0. In the future, people will marvel at why the BRZ generated such fervor when, for about a grand more, you could buy M3 performance. From the factory it makes about 430hp at the crank, and with some bolt-on breathing mods and a tune, you can easily push the engine to 500hp at the crank, or

That's a false counterpoint, Matt. For one, SYNC doesn't tie to any particular phone. So purchases are not being driven by, for example, drivers who own Android phones.

Dear Gizmodo writers: get off of Jalopnik. Thanks.

That argument will be laughed out of the courtroom. If the county were trying to stop the rally itself, then the argument would be legit. But the burnouts only? Forget it. Even their "legalese" argument admits it - they say it "enhances" the ability to assimilate, rather than alleging that it's a necessary

OMG best in-car navigation/info system evar created!

This has already been tried. Although Milka Duno's bus was only a one-seater.

The point is that it's not stock. And I know it isn't because I own one. But the thread has subsequently updated with the supposed owner claiming that he had it for 3 weeks and that those are SLP Loudmouths.

Interestingly, this car doesn't have the stock exhaust - there's no muffler visible (it should be right there at the tip). So I'm not sure this story quite adds up, unless the owner had 3rd party exhaust installed by the dealer before driving it home.

Is that so? I'd love to see your numbers and your sources. I did tons of research before I bought mine and found that entirely unsubstantiated. So did the NHTSA. The total number was less than 3% of all cars affected. And within that 3%, 68% of the problems reported were unrelated to the transmission mechanicals.

Dyslexic McNewbie? Or do you drive one of those Australian cars where everything's upside down?
