I've read quite a bit about guys getting severe detonation on aggressive 93 octane tunes. Only a handful burned pistons, but any amount of detonation is bad. As I've read, the Ford Racing tune is one of the worst; I've seen multiple people take it off after experiencing severe detonation. Who are you using, if…
Ah, ok. I was wondering because outside of guys putting aggressive tunes on the motors and getting detonation, I've not heard of any issues at all with the motor, which is why I was wondering. Sounds like (not shockingly) the dealer mechanics were in a little over their heads. Good to know Ford handled it well in…
Yup, and I upgraded from an e46 330i sport package. I've autocrossed both. The Mustang handles better.
Except, the S197 handles really well. And it's faster in the turns than the BRZ. And the brakes. So you wouldn't ever catch up.
I ignored the gray commenter on this, but since you've asked:
You guys have clearly hired a Russian intern solely to scour YouTube for insane Soviet video and you just aren't telling us.
It's really not because it's such a high revving motor. I mean, yeah, if you drive like a moron then 300hp is more than enough to get you into trouble, but honestly it drives like a road racer. Not much going on below ~4,000rpm or so (much more than the BRZ or econo cars, of course, but not at all the kind of torque…
Awesome... if you don't care if you make it to the end of the block and back. Crazy cars, but definitely not known for reliability.
Oh I know, I was just playing the meme. In the real world though, yeah, if you can afford $28k for the BRZ, you could just as well afford $29,9 for the M3 performance levels of the GT.
LOL. One of my BMW friends commented at how tight the panel fit was on my Mustang. You'd be impressed. Just don't drive one; I don't want to ruin your BRZ fantasy. ;)
Know what's cheaper, faster, and has no body fitment issues?
Porsche 911 handling, why vintage racing is awesome, why Spa's Eau Rouge is the scariest corner in the world, and the size of this driver's enormous balls. In 14 seconds.
Hi. I see you've missed your American history and Government classes. Let me step in and provide a bit of assistance, then. Read this:
Special edition Mustang? LOL. You can buy those on every corner. Mega CP.
He was in a difficult position, but he took exactly the inverse strategy you should take. You should build on your strengths and improve your product from its core outward. The Lotuses prior to Bahar were all very, very hardcore, uncompromising cars. So naturally they had narrow appeal. Well, the next step to…
AoD: SennaMP4's NASCAR history lecture edition.
I'd be fine with that... if they disabled its operation while in motion. And frankly, it's ridiculous to need to adjust the door open warning sound. That's what's wrong with modern cars anyway. If the door warning sound is annoying you, CLOSE THE DOOR. Or simply remove your keys. It's not rocket science, it's a…
Know what else works REALLY well for replicating the feel of buttons and dials? Buttons and dials. Touch screen in cars are asinine.
Well, given the way Shelby (may not have) died, I'd say the queen with the biggest boobs would win.
