Alive and well... except they aren't. Ducati pulled out of WSBK and haven't had a factory effort in the AMA for a long time. True enough Checa is having a good season in WSBK, but again, he's got an extra 200cc on everyone else. If you can't win, change the rules. At least, that's what Ferrari says.

V-twins are dead. Rumor is Ducati is using a V4 for their next bike, last I heard. Ducati got the FIM to change the rules to allow them to run 1200cc V-twins against 1000cc fours. At a fixed engine capacity, the only ways to increase power is by rpm or displacement. Ducati's 1098s were using some very trick gear

The EBR really isn't, because it isn't a street-legal production machine. But even if it were, it's merely using a punched-out Rotax-built V-twin... like Aprilia's own dead Mille used to have. V-twins are dead in the current superbike wars; the piston speeds needed to produce competitive power are too high. Thus

Yes.

I renew my statement that this show will consist entirely of Adam Carolla spending 10 minutes comparing cars to his penis, and 10 minutes of the other guys doing "product spotlights." The wall provides further evidence.

Cross plane crank vs. flat plane crank; inertial torque vs. combustion torque in one video! The latter really only applies to motorcycles, where ultra-fine throttle control is required to keep from crashing. But the former, if you've ever wondered why a Ferrari V8 doesn't sound like a Chevy V8, there's your

Juan Pablo Montoya says: I know why you didn't turn.

YZ125 would be a hell of a pit bike. If she gets lost on the way, I'd be happy to take it off her hands.

GoPro has uploaded the roof cam view of the run in full 1080p!

I nominate you for director. If F1 LTD does not accept this nomination, We the Commentariot should start a coup for Valencia television control. Plus, Valencia... and babes in bikinis. Win/win/win.

Why is that girl from "The Ring" standing next to Button?

If only LeBron could claim that he was shooting with one hand from an unpredictable, constantly moving platform, at an unpredictable, constantly moving target.

I rather enjoyed most of the first season. Yes it's different. That doesn't automatically make it bad. For one, Tanner can elicit far more from a car than anyone on TGUK, meaning his opinions might actually be... relevant. Which is different. And I'm not even a fan of his.

What the hell is this? I sincerely hope BMW runs out of incredibly rich, incredibly stupid fanboys who will drop 2x 3x the price on a car just because 1) it's a BMW, 2) it's a limited edition.

I understand the feeling entirely. And while you're certainly not going to have power-induced issues on a 150cc scooter, you can still lean it over too far and/or brake too hard, as a scooter rider near my house found out in the rain yesterday. I didn't see it happen, but fortunately it was a fairly low speed area.

It's not much different unless you ride like an absolute idiot. Most people on the street hardly approach the bike's limits in the dry. Therefore, for most people, there's not a lot you need to do differently in the rain. If you do ride aggressively, just tone it down. Easier on the throttle, easier on the brake

... but you'd still get wet, which is the only reason not to ride in the rain. Motorcycles work just fine in the rain.

I agree with you not only because you're right, but for the proper possessive form and use of "its." It's like spotting an albino gorilla on the internet.

Hey, who put the BMW M lower fascia on that car with the Aston Martin front end and Lexus boot? CP
