Free is great, but it gets to the point where it's a hassle to remember what's where and which has how much free space left. I would keep the largest of the three "free" options for PPC Mac app storage, upgrade the service that you like the most to a paid service, and then ditch or ignore the third.

Free, yes. Open Source, not so much.

I'd keep a notepad and little golf pencil in the case; each time you find something you're missing make a note of it. Each time you run out of something/needs replacing, make a note of it. When you get back "home", replace the items. It's easier to write down what you need as you go than to try and remember it all

Yes, I did mean F.lux. Misplaced the .

Sleeping in someone else's home is dangerous, but the dangers can be lowered by having a reputable service vouch for people. Most of the couch surfing I've seen done it through reputable websites and not (something like) Craigslist. However, I do not believe such a service exists for vehicles.

In the scenario, are any of the 2-3 PC's storing the files or are they all streaming from another location?

When we went, we priced a hotel room (and wound up staying in the Paris Hilton [though they call it the Hilton Paris] outside the Eiffel tower); apart of the priceline was an addon for a nighttime tour of Paris from the river. It was great.
