The four-door Wrangler makes up something like 80% of sales. But the two-door has to exist due to heritage and marketing value, just like for the Bronco and Defender. 

There isn’t really a “gone back to” for glass cockpit displays. The vast majority were always skeuomorphic from the beginning. Most of this is actually for design packaging - a circular design can fit more legibly into a smaller area than a bunch of tapes, tapes serving their own purpose in certain places.
