Can you just tell me what’s different beteeen this hire with an affirmative action hire (which you said was not racist) so we can get onto the actually interesting arguments involving the subjective intent of the employer and the subjective impressions of the hired?
LOL
It’s almost like you are the one who is misrepresenting what I’m doing. Like I’m not really misrepresenting your position and yet you are falsely saying I am so you can create almost a fake version of me to complain about. Again and again for no reason but to avoid talking about the topic at hand.
Weird that I might be doing something that doesn’t neatly fall into some useful (for you) category such that you can continue to pretend to give a shit about it such that you can avoid admitting you are out of your depth.
I concede I’m doing something. I deny I’m misrepresenting you. Call it whatever you want.
But this isn’t a strawman argument. I make a strawman argument when I either exaggerate or distort someone’s opinion in order to give myself an easier argument to refute.
I’m doing it because you continue to avoid doing it. To the extent I’m creating a strawman, I’m only building it to throw at you and say: dis u?
No. You are the one telling me what I’m doing. I keep asking questions about this topic. You haven’t been on topic in a while.
We finally agree. I haven’t been making a strawman argument because I’ve been asking questions this whole time. And as you said, a question isn’t an argument.
Every “strawman” argument I made WAS a question. With a question mark and everything.
Cool. So what is your position? Curious, ya know?
Prove it. Prove my man is straw. I’m not doing this behind your back. I’m not even doing it. I don’t understand your position other than you are claiming to disagree with mine.
Useless? Says the guy who can’t spit out five sentences explaining why a diversity hire is racist.
Lol. I’m actually not building a straw man. I’m suggesting that your argument is made of straw and giving you a straw man to burn. So burn it brother. Burn that shit.
How is that not a good faith argument? I don’t believe AA is racist, obviously, but that’s consistent because I don’t think this woman hiring this man was racist either.
Yes. I can, actually.
Obviously there is no set method that works for all children. But my kids don’t ever get “anxiety spikes” sleeping alone. They aren’t ignoring their feelings, they are sleeping.
We don’t get to always pick our trail blazers. Birth of a Nation isn’t special because of what it portrays, but because of what it’s creator invented. Yes it was odious, but it was first.
We thought it was important to empower our kids to sleep anywhere. It’s a pretty big handicap to only be able to sleep in one bed. What about summer camp? Friends’ houses? Tents, motels, hotels, etc.
