@xenothaulus: Less power usage = less heat produced. Less heat produced = greater reliability + quieter fans.

@mintycrys is HOT for Bayonetta: Your arguments are irrefutable. Final Fantasy Versus XIII will obviously be ported to the 360, just as Metal Gear Solid 4 was.

@Arcturian: They DID stop making the Aibo!

@Dreamwriter: PAX is about as important to the Japanese gamer as this year's GamesCom was to Microsoft (not very).

@Orionsaint: Final Fantasy XII came out in March 2006. I would argue that enough time has passed. As for all these other spinoff titles, I tend to be fairly oblivious to their very existence. The "core" titles are the ones of interest to me (although, that said, FF XIII Versus looks very interesting).

@BubbleF**kingBuddy: If you're talking about Bravia Theatre Sync, I was under the impression that was Slim only rather than a feature of Firmware 3.0 (tied to the entirely separate firmware governing the HDMI connection). I really hope you're right though.

@Aerundel: That's the best advice I've seen so far today. Milla Jovovich aside, everyone should watch Dazed and Confused.

@LuckyAoi: His movies may be trash, but they're relatively cheap to make and surprisingly popular. If you look at the cold hard percentages he's probably one of the most profitable directors around. He's not looking to make fine art, he's looking to make easy money. I would imagine his personal wealth is still only a

@mikeer990: Interesting, that's the first really negative opinion I've heard of the PC version. Are you sure your PC is up to it? A lot of reviewers regarded the PC version very highly.

@RAVENKam: Obviously Microsoft and Nintendo wouldn't have thought, given their apparent lack of interest. Hopefully they'll be back in force next year, it's not a proper gaming convention without big press conferences from the big three (although, as a Sony fan, I have to admit that it was a bit of treat to see them

I like the sound of the Mass Effect series, but since I don't have an XBOX360 and I don't like spending very long periods of time in elevators it would seem that this PC release could be just the thing.

@deanbmmv: Yes, you have a point. I can't really do that comparison. All we can really conclude is that tax sux :)

@BritBloke916: Aha, according to Wikipedia the tax in certain Californian locations can reach 10.25% (due to additional local taxes). This would bring their PS3 price up to about $330, which is even closer.

@deanbmmv: True, but since the sales tax in California is apparently 8.25%, that would bring it even closer (up to about $325). We're still $31 in the lurch, but it's not bad really.

@BritBloke916: Oh, and before anyone asks why I wanted my PS3 running at 1080P/60, WipEout looks gorgeous in that mode (and the XMB, with a suitably sexy theme, looks fantastic).

@coojo: I bought a dirt cheap HDMI cable when I first got my PS3, my logic being that since it was a digital signal the quality of the cable wouldn't matter. This would have worked just fine if I'd had only a 720P TV, or even if I was just watching Blu-Ray movies (1080P/24). However, I wanted to run my PS3 at maximum

@Nobuyuki: We start getting onto seriously thin ice when someone accuses Sony of screwing customers on the accessories. At least the hard drive's easy to upgrade and the wi-fi's built in ;)

@deanbmmv: Yeah, the UK price includes our (relatively high) sales tax whilst the US price doesn't include the sales tax at all (it can differ from state to state, so they pay it at the register). It's actually fairer than it seems on first inspection.

@CarlMarssilas: Given that the entire point of CryEngine 3 is to enable easy high-quality porting between PC, XBOX360 and PS3, I think you can count on it.
