Hahahahaha if only!

I love OG Doom and Doom 2016, but Doom 64 gets its hooks into you a different way. Especially affecting is the soundtrack (made up of industrial grinds, eerie whispers and distant cries, and ambient noise that in some ways felt like a prototype for Silent Hill’s soundscape 2 years later) and the moody lighting and

As someone who owns hundreds of blu-rays and really takes film seriously... wow, dude. Take a laxative.

I regularly host movie nights with friends, so I’m excited to give it a try while we all stay safe at home. I’m weirded out by peoples’ negative reactions to it in various article comments, it seems like a nice way to have somewhat organic social interaction while we’re forced to stay apart.

Well, if they’re going to actually finally adapt it then it certainly feels like the best avenue to do so. Chernobyl was a series that knew how to ratchet up tension and emotion in the right places, and Druckman’s on board so it will more than likely have authenticity. Count me in as excited, I hope they pull it off.

I was a very committed player, but this last season wore me down too hard. FOMO model is garbage, and burnout is real. After all, games are supposed to be fun, not busywork chores. I’ll be playing very casually, if at all, over this next season.

Man, I burnt out so hard during Undying, and for what? I refuse to ever play a game like that ever again.

The FOMO model made Destiny a chore rather than a game. I’ve pretty much given up on the game after this month because of it, despite being a very invested player since the D1 alpha. I want to be able to come in and out when I please, not be tethered to the game at all times because I’ll miss something forever. I have

Contra for the NES was an immensely big part of my childhood, and that code is seared into my brain forever. It’s such a great piece of gaming history.

Man... to think this could have been Sony’s first foray into gaming. How different would the gaming landscape look today if they didn’t start off on their own?

My iPhone’s alarm ringtone. Pretty nice to wake up to :)

Dammit, beat me to it haha

LOL that picture of him is amazing...ly bad. All I can see:

I’ll only stop posting this when Konami stops being Konami.

“Just listen to the rhythm of the heart, guardian...

That’ll be an internet-breaker for sure haha

This game is going to be so surreal haha. I’m so stoked to see what the hell it ends up being and who else is in it.

Count me intrigued, I’ll be looking for reviews in September to see how it shapes up and maybe grab a copy.

No Man’s Sky journey from launch to now has really been a redemption story.

Eh, to each their own but I think it’s fine. Every Contra has had its weird “diversion” levels that distract from the meat of the game. Some games did it better than others, but I always still liked these sections, not to mention the music from these “3D” stages are burned into my brain.
