I think it’s worth mentioning that the natural decay rate of starlink satellites would have them re-entering the earths atmosphere in ~5 years of they don’t get their orbits boosted regularly, so any debris from a starlink satellite hitting something wouldn’t last long and certainly wouldn’t cause Kessler syndrome.

Celebs get paid by being in popular shows/movies. We are not entitled to have them entertain us when they aren’t on the clock. Delevingne had access to the grid (something most F1 fans would love) so I won’t begrudge her not wanting to talk to a reporter when she had nothing to say.

Did she “owe” anyone anything? Nope

Did you believe that headlines that said “empty” in them when the parks are still at 75 to 90% capacity? Less crowded is not empty, as the sensational headline implies.

When it’s near empty, do they just use the remaining fuel to push the satellite into the atmosphere for a fiery death?

Not True, Enterprise IS under cover.

Houston looks up from its Saturn V rocket display and goes, “shuttle what?”

Once it’s standing you just know there will be a movie where the premise will be the Earth being in peril and someone will need to jump into the “ancient” shuttle to either get away or save the Earth. Of course the shuttle will launch after they fuel it up with a tank that’s conveniently sitting next to the complex.

excited they’re finally getting to work on this, its been the plan all along.  Visiting the Endeavour at the Science Center is pretty much one of the most awesome museum attractions I’ve ever been to.  You just a foot or two away from this magnificent piece of engineering that was in fucking space.  how cool is that.

Once fully stacked, the 20-story-tall vertical display will be the only ready-for-launch Space Shuttle system in the world.

Oh, ffs. I’ll cite some actual numbers to provide context.

Here’s a study published in the journal Health Physics, measuring radioactivity of phosphogypsum piles. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1850391/.

The concentration of Radon-226 was found about 1.1 Becquerel per gram. One Becquerel is a single radioactive decay

But if the company was purposefully deceptive in its presentation for IPO, then the company should still be liable for it. The price is based on the facts presented at the time. Otherwise companies will just lie to pump up the IPO price and there would be no consequences.

Im under the impression that the Hunter Biden laptop story was, in fact, actual information and not “misinformation.” The government did slow its dissemination (at least according to ‘the Twitter files,’ for what they're worth). Which... Kinda, sorta, at least a little bit, demonstrates we've got a serious problem

The specifics of the situations in the lawsuit will totally overwhelm any attempt to look at this objectively for most people.

Doughty said numerous uncovered communications show Biden administration officials wielded threats of increased regulations or a stripping of Section 230 immunity protections to get its way.

And Macron leans even harder into authoritarianism.

“Welcome to the Hotel California . . .”

Eh, when they put in the Biden animatronic they fixed the Trump one to look better. So that adds some legitimacy to the rushed rumor. https://blogmickey.com/2021/08/disney-appears-to-fix-donald-trump-animatronic-in-hall-of-presidents/

I believe this is the first incident where people were crushed by an implosion at anything closet to that depth. Everything I’ve read seems to indicate that the victims were smashed into very small pieces very shortly after they were superheated by the heat of the friction. My guess is that there are some bone

There was an Ellen animatronic in the EPCOT attraction, Ellen’s Energy Adventure, formerly Universe of Energy. Now it’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
