Will this mean the end of “free” (with contract) or heavily subsidized phone prices?

Better than previous seasons where we got it 6-9 months later!

Voyager only uses assembly language. FORTRAN was used for the ground systems during the 70's and 80's for planning maneuvers and instrument usage. Source: https://fortran-lang.discourse.group/t/a-patch-was-sent-to-voyager-2-yesterday/6670/53

Even that lost flap was still actively moving on command after the corner of the hinge burned through.

I find it hilarious that the only two comments before me are such polar opposites.

If something does go wrong, it probably won’t be due to helium.

This is why the military uses high explosives rather than fuel-air when targeting people in a vehicle. Seems like the seat he was sitting in protected him from much of the direct force in the back.

Whatever is “outside” the universe is not made of the dimensions we are familiar with in the universe.

There are galaxies we can see now, (seen as they were billions of years ago) that will never see any light our galaxy emits today, no matter how long they wait. The light from them to us has travelled billions of light years, but the space between has since expanded past that, and they are now receding faster than

The stuff wasn’t “flung” away. It’s the fabric of the universe itself that is expanding. It’s a tough concept because we are not used to thinking about higher dimensions.

We are not the center of the universe. There is no single place <<in the universe>> where it is expanding away from. The point where it started is not in the universe, (in one sense) AND it is everywhere in the universe, (in another sense). The galaxies are not really moving away from us, it is the space in between

It’s not the edge. If you were in that galaxy now, you would think Earth is at “the edge”. Because the Universe doesn’t stop there, that just the furthest we can see light from. That light has been travelling in a straight line for billions of years, and finally reached us. Some of the light from that same galaxy has

The CME spreads out, so it does impact a large portion of Earth’s orbit. There is currently another CME due to impact Tuesday night, but it’s relatively small.

They do track things as small as 3mm, but this 2 foot object apparently has very little metal to help bounce a radar signal.

It was supposed to be inflated, so balloon is an appropriate descriptor, even if it had no buoyancy.

Maybe because the EU (and US) actually have due process for Apple to appeal through. With China, the only option is to completely withdraw, like Google did.

But there’s plenty worthwhile to study on Io, which Juno has been orbiting for nearly eight years.

That’s because he has lead feet.

So first they won’t stop, then they go when you don’t want them to, and now they don’t let you out? Sounds like kidnapping to me.

Each adult female is expected to lay up to 10,000 eggs, of which between 0-10 could return in later years as an adult. By farming the fish before release, they actually significantly improve the yield for the first two years, but there is also high attrition in the ocean and when they return to the stream.
