There’s no way to tell from that video if the scooter was allowed on the highway or not. If it’s a 150 or 300 it would be classified as a motorcycle and would be legal if it could go fast enough.

Many commands, especially for things like takeoff clearance, are supposed to be repeated back to the controller. But at the rate they’re pushing planes, and given the technical limtis of analog VHF radio, those readbacks can often get lost. Dangerous assumptions were likely made here.

The problem is that most people who get these calls are on the Do Not Call registry anyway, which Telemarketers abide by. Its the scam calls that pretend to be Telemarketers/Charities that are the real problem. And they don’t abide by any laws, because they’re, you know...criminals.

I always consider Deep Impact well worth rewatching, something I cannot say about Armageddon; once was enough for it.

Deep Impact is arguably the better film, but not more successful (since success is dollar based).  DI had more of an ensemble cast, was more realistic (but still not firmly based in reality), and I preferred the ending.  It was more poignant. 

I always consider Deep Impact the more serious and Armageddon the more fun. Both are great and can rewatch anytime.

In Deep Impact the crew actually dies, which gives it a gravitas.

In Deep Impact you see that while earth is saved, Washington has to be rebuilt so there is an extra level of hopefulness.

Tipping should absolutely die because it’s dumb, but waiters and bar staff are NOT getting paid by their employers without tipping.
