Because a small plane with 4 seats might already be at the weight limit with 2 adults and 2 children. And a muffler might weigh 50 pounds, so you have to leave a child at home. Or don’t fill up the fuel tank, so you can only fly half as far.

It’s not just a new engine, in many cases it would be a whole new airplane. Putting a different engine on an airplane requires that it be certified for that model of plane. (Not just the engine certified, but that engine on that airplane.) The certification process can cost millions per certificate. And many of the…
Yes, $50 gets you a starter ship, and with that you can earn nearly* any other ship with in-game currency. There are no subscription costs, nor any need to spend more than the initial cost.
It has good patches and bad patches. This most recent one added a bunch of features, and new bugs to go with them.
California’s CARB has authority over most ground and water motor vehicles, but the FAA has exclusive authority over aircraft.
Right? Like, I’d be more shocked if an app that has a “report abuse/harassment/etc” button had no way to read the message that is purported to be abusive. I suppose some place could do “3 strikes, get banned” without any kind of review, but that just opens up other kinds of abuse.
One issue with aviation is the kind of machining you talk about for classic cars would invalidate the certification of the engine. So each engine would need to be individually re-certified, which is probably much more expensive than the actual machining to retrofit them. It would help if there was a standard “kit”…
Ehh, not until the same machine makes both the invention, the patent paperwork, and files the legal case to be recognized.
But you couldn’t exist without your parents creating you. I agree with you in general, I’m just not sure that argument would stand the test.
If an AI came up with it, then maybe it is too obvious to be patented, since it’s just the result of some math equations. If anyone can apply this “tool” and get the same result, then it should fail the obviousness test.
TSMC is only just breaking ground on their 2nm fab building. It’s still a future step. They don’t expect to start delivering 4nm chips until next year.
Many of the people that advocate for the first part also advocate for reduced parking in those areas, so if they owned a car, where would they put it?
Zarya is currently the link between the US modules and the other Russian modules such as Zvezda and Nauka. And if it was removed, the station would not have as much redundancy for critical systems.
That would be frustrating, but I’d think having the app would help more often than hurt, even in a drive through. In the worst case, you pull up to the payment window and show them the app with its code, and at that point they should be able to understand that you can’t hear them well, and what your order is. It might…
And all that means is G/O doesn’t care what you think, since they will never see any ad revenue from your views. But we care. Slideshows are way overused.
The new ones are also much more formulaic. It always the same “Letter of the Day” song, with a fill in the blank for the letter. The old ones had something unique for each letter or number. Something that actually showed the letter more than a few seconds, and said it more than three times.
It speeds up the drive through. You just give them a 4 digit code, and that handles the full order and payment. If they have two windows and the first handles payment, you can skip that one. And you don’t have to worry about them mishearing your complex order over the little speaker.
Yes, the McD app works great in the store, you just click “I’m here” and it gets queued up. It will either show in the pickup window, or if the store is doing table service, you can grab a number and sit at your table. (Though I haven’t been in store since COVID, not sure how much that part has changed.)
I like how much customization you can actually do in the app. I can get my burrito just the way I like, with a lot of non-obvious options I didn’t know to ask for before. And it remembers my favorite combos.
US Customs (i.e. imported products) are part of DHS.
