They would be too cold. You’d have to wait a while hoping the bird would return on their own, because once you start collecting the eggs they won’t return. But by the time you are sure they won’t return, the eggs have cooled off too much. And besides, even if you raise the chicks, how are you going to train them to

Well, that’s how it started anyways. I suppose some of the sub-sites have redefined what kind of post is grounds for a ban. I generally avoid Jez, they have nothing I want.

It was something they implemented to prevent random people from posting graphic porn in public views. (Which can be a problem in any forum that allows public image posts.) People with a history of “normal” posts get allowed to post direct to public, and any greys that are starred by a regular become public.

Even when the reply is in the black, not grey, you still have to do so many extra clicks to show them, and it forgets that you clicked a notification link, so nothing has the blue highlight anymore.

I should probably add: older rockets, including China’s Long March, and most of the military systems here in the US, use much dirtier fuels, such as solid rockets (aluminum-ammonium perchlorate) and hypergolics (hydrazine) which range from horrible particulates to downright lethal toxisity. These downsides are

Leave the Iowa, let the Lane Victory do the job. It’s actually kept in working condition, just need to reenable the deck guns. I think they still take it out to sea a few times a year.

Rockets do spew a lot of carbon per launch, but there are so few rocket launches that it doesn’t amount to much on a global scale. Both Blue Origin and SpaceX are using methane, which could be produced in a “green” way eventually, and compares favorably to RP1 or jet fuel in terms of carbon emitted per erg of energy.

https://www.heavens-above.com/ (and the related app) are great for checking for transitory events such as satellite passes or when a planet rises. Just make sure you actually give it a valid location.

I think it’s more of a human concept. And he might still be human.

Ehh, Karman line or not, he won’t be in orbit, so it doesn’t matter.

On the flip side, it’s going to be doing the bare minimum to be called “in space” since it will not even orbit.

They always have so many different layers going on, it’s even a treat for repeat viewing. And often a few thoughts for parents, too, mixed in. Looking forward to season 3 of Bluey!

Was about to say the same.

What’s the Universal deal? Seems like if they can do it in California, Florida won’t be far behind. They rarely launch a new “land” in multiple parks at the same time, there’s always one that’s first.

This doesn’t change the need for a warrant by investigators. This is specifically about how they can charge somebody that uses data access. The case did involve a cop, but the cop was using his database access for something outside of his job.

There may be other laws that may apply to how you use that data, such as fraud, HIPAA, or civil penalties due to contracts, etc. They just can’t call it hacking.

The orbit is not the issue, Starship would have plenty of delta-V to get there and rendezvous, but JWST is big and delicate, I’m not sure how it could be done without risk of damage.

I’d be really afraid of approaching JWST with another spacecraft after it is deployed. The giant mirror is totally exposed, and the sunshield is quite delicate. A single puff of maneuvering jets could ruin things easily.

I think he was saying the front wheels would only have the “Can” because if something goes wrong, and the parking brake activates while you are moving, (as it would if you lose air pressure suddenly,) you won’t have the brakes on the steering tires lock up, and you’ll still be able to stay in your lane until you come

1. Changing the name wouldn’t stop people that insist on abusing it.
