And Starlink doesn’t have a problem with a “misaligned dish” because the phased array tracks multiple satellites in real-time.

You forgot the part where Hughes could serve the entire US from a single “bus sized” satellite (sorry about the 250ms ping times) (Oh and we’re upgrading!) while Starlink wouldn’t be able to help a single rural person. - LOL!
But the article also tried (and failed) to say that geostationary satellites like Hughes were “better” to serve rural customers than Starlink would be:
Dell XPS. If you want USB-A on a Dell, you have to get the cheap low-end models that are big, or the high-end gamer models that are also big. None of their lightweight models have USB-A any more.
The Bluetooth vs Logitech Unifying debate is changed when you get a newer laptop that only has USB-C. Logitech still doesn’t have a dongle for USB-C, and using an adapter completely nullifies the point of having the tiny dongle that Logitech has for USB-A. So having Bluetooth as an option is worth it, and you can…
But cheap and useful is a much better gift than cheap and eyesore. You weren’t being cheap, you were being thrifty. And doing (I’m guessing) 24 turkshead knots is not quick, so you invested your time, too.
I’m not sure what that looks like, but I’m pretty sure the trebuchet fanatics would derisively call it a catapult.
Also, plastics are by definition created by long-chain polymers. Each length of polymer will come out as a different “weight” in any mass spec analysis, even though they are functionally identical.
Some math:
A trebuchet relies on gravity, which the moon has little of.
Not really. You still need 1.6km/s of delta-V just to reach lunar orbit. It’s a lot easier than Earth’s 10km/s launch cost, but still way more than any “water rocket.” And the higher you make the pressure in the water tank, the heavier it needs to be. You could maybe use something to boil the water to make a steam…
I was also pleasantly surprised with the Microsoft Launcher. When I updated my phone last month, I found that the Google Now launcher was no longer supported. (Another in the long list of abandoned Google products.) I tried a few others, but found the Microsoft Launcher best fit the way I think. And it has the…
That’s ok, we can hope whoever does make that decision looks at the comments too.
My Escape didn’t have the factory keypad, but they do offer a keypad that just sticks on with double-side tape. It works the same as the remote on the key, and you set your own code. It‘s great when I go kayaking or the beach, don’t have to worry about drowning the key.
But we haven’t tried to land yet.
It doesn’t sterilize somebody that already had it. But more than likely, the number of people that leave with the virus will be equal to the number that arrived with it.
Duct tape is still used to refer to the standard grey tape. “Duck tape” is just a single brand name, so it doesn’t apply to grey tape made by Scotch or 3M.
I think they each have their own personal tube they plug into the toilet so they don’t have to share that part.
I could mayyybbee do without function keys in a pinch, but no way I could give up arrow keys, page up/down, or delete/insert.
They have to find it first, there’s about 2500 square feet of the ISS skin they need to check, and most of that is behind other equipment. Even if they looked from the outside, there are several layers mounted to the outside to shield it from debris and heat. There are very few places, other than the endcaps of each…
