Ooh! How about most obscure from a company everyone knows?

The most obscure I've seen is this non J2 Allard. Looks like a giant MG doesn't it?

@Ninety-9: Wow! How does that motor work in that chassis? Would a breathed on SR20DET offer better balance?

@Scandinavian Flick: Damn, had I known you were going, I'd have chipped in for fuel. I'm on the way, just 2858 miles from SOHO.

@anthromt: Indeed. My greatest fear is being in a burning (race or street) car while not being able to extricate myself.

@russler: Seconded. These little cars are every bit as much a real Benz as any S class. I quite like them. My family had a great time hooning a borrowed Sportline W201 around France several years ago. The car positively devoured miles and short of some unanticipated but very easily controlled trailing throttle

@alleggerita: All I know is he's called Das Schtig.

This is a Bucket List item for all Jalops.

If the chassis hasn't been mangled it might be a good candidate for a track toy. Obviously pull the craptacular v6 out.

This is merely another reason why cats are superior to dogs. Toonces would have at least made it out of the parking lot.

Fun project. Now let's see it do a stoppy. Now all that's missing is for it to be ridiculously overpowered, and a sawzall to remove dude's extra arm.

You just don't mess with a man's car. Hope this guy is caught and punished severely.

@gessvt: It was out for a photo shoot. It looks like it sees some exercise from time to time. The owner seems like a guy who "gets it". This car needs to be shared; it has a presence.

@dorkstar: My understanding is that the R cars came later. That particular R car is likely that first of its kind. This car, 5S003, is special in that it is the first built of the first batch of 3 Mustangs given to Shelby.

I find myself wanting a new Mustang more and more. Ford has done a really good job with their Track Packs. After reading Leaverman's V6 comparison on Autoblab, it's getting harder for me to ignore.

In Washington, handheld phone use (texting or talking) is only a secondary offense. Meaning you can text to your little heart's content right in front of a LEO. However, on June 10, this changes to being a primary offense. There have been a few news stories warning folks to hang up and drive because our budget

Jay uses Carmel Towing? While I would assume he has his own recovery crew on standby for these sort of situations, the fact that he doesn't elevates my esteem for him a bit.

Schadenfreude never gets old. Most of these don't really bother me, aren't these cars designed with unskilled drivers in mind? The atrocity committed on that innocent Ford GT calls for vengeance .

What an incredible love story. May we all be so fortunate to have this sort of connection with another person.
