It looks like the front part was grafted on about a degree or two off.

Excellent article - this is just the sort of thing my friends and I would do if some company made the ill-advised move of lending us a beautiful supercar. I will endeavor to try out your secret driving road in something worthwhile.
Wow, tastes like purple.
It's okay Matt, I went over to their little blog and commented that you are "dreamy" in the hoppe of propping up your celebrity street cred.
They were going to have him ghost ride the whip but decided this would be the more tasteful option.
@Vintage Racer -ready to go racing...: Nice. You wrench on that 510 right? I'll keep an eye out for it at the next vintage event I make. I try to at least get to the NW Historics each year.
@Speedycop: Heart click for unbridled awesomeness.
@vavon205: Which reminds me of the proto-510 , the BMW 2002.
How am I supposed to trust a vehicle that thinks 6:41PM is 'Morning'?
No, I wouldn't buy any car with 500hp. I would, however, buy a 500hp engine from the fine folks at GM Performance Parts. I think and LS7 would just about meet the order for 500hp perfectly (with 5 extra hp, just to be safe).
What a great car! I'm glad it has been rescued and reconditioned. The notchback cars offer more torsional rigidity than do the hatchbacks; not that that matters though, since all the back half of these cars do is keep the front of the car pointing forward.
Love the Healey 100!
@Turboner: Seattle has gotten better. I live within the Seattle city limits and am blessed with a 10 to 15 minute commute. However, the few times a year I am forced to venture across the lake to the Eastside, I find the trip to be not nearly as horrid as it was back in the 90's when I lived in lovely Renton.
Great article. The SM has a space reserved in my fantasy garage. I can't think of a better car in which to "arrive" at a restaurant or function.
@pauljones: Bravo! This should be the First Amendment to the Awesomeness Manifesto. I fear that things like Facebook and Twitter are encouraging low quality communication. Eloquence is not rewarded when one is limited to 140 characters.
This. This is what Cadillac is about. Cadillac is about being seen; leaving a great impression as you motor by on the boulevard. I can't wait to see the CTS-V coupe, that's going to be a serious jaw-dropper.
@PaulDobson: Thanks! I really do think Mr. Smith is showing himself to be a world class writer. This is the sort of story I could see in a big pub (Esquire?) where we plebs vicariously swoon over the machinery and locals presented.
Note to self:
This Smith kid has a future. Outstanding post with well composed photography.
@layabout: Learn me of the issues. I'm genuinely curious and admit to know knowing shite about British politics.
