You can still find, if you look, forum posts from the time complaining about Steam, complaining about Valve, talking about how the service would ruin PC gaming, how it had ruined Half-Life. In hindsight, these prophets of doom turned out to be so wrong it's adorable.

We accept server issues at a game's launch as an unfortunate standard today, but that's for multiplayer games, and that's in 2013. In 2004, the idea that a singleplayer experience had to be "unlocked" remotely, even though you held the discs in your hand, was seen by many as an unnecessary intrusion, a roadblock to

That was not true. That was from an anonymous pastebin entry. An employee from the Xbox team came out and said there was no time limit.

Alright. You're half right then. The big picture of what Xbox One was doing is different, since it's not already where Steam is at. Just trying to get there. But the concept of this family sharing plan is the same. Which I think everyone agreed was awesome. People just didn't want to give up full offline capability

I think you replied to the wrong person bro. I was just asking how this is any different from the Xbox family sharing plan. Which it isn't. Actually, if the Xbox rumors were true, it's more limited, since the Xbox family sharing plan let you AND 1 other person play the game.

How is this any different at all?!

This is even crazier if you go the website and read the FAQ. Apparently, they have signs for 3 intersections before that bridge notifying people. They drop the speed limit to 25. And those lights on that sign? They actually flash to tell you that you're too tall for the bridge, after a sensor before the intersection

Actually, if you read the FAQ on the website, they have something that detects the height of your truck, and it activates the lights if you're too tall. You don't even have to check, it tells you!

Yeah. Lots of chatting. No playing. :(

Seems to me the fact that she calls the Wii U just Wii is an almost bigger issue for them...

This is amazing. Haha.

Not advocating support either way, but where in the world are you buying your games for $70? Games are $60 on console, and typically only $50 on PC. And that's before the retailer's cut.

I just bought Saints Row 4 & GTA5 both. Double wrong?

Would it make more sense to you if they told you it was bad?... How dare they hype their game.

24... But nice try!

I.. I don't know how to feel about this. I get this is supposed to be a premium experience, so totally free to play wouldn't really work. But I guess in the back of my mind I had just assumed it would be a one time ~$60 to buy the game and then be done with it (Guild Wars style). I love Elder Scrolls.. But a paid

Yeah I've since noticed that. Thanks! My other complaints, however, still stand..!

Alright. Off topic because I just got here this morning. But what the hell happened to the layout this time? Microscopic thumbnails? All that wasted space on the left side of the page? Not able to switch blogs on the top bar? Who thinks of this stuff... Just. Why.

No. No. No no no no no! If that happens, then they might as well just trash the damn thing. Unless the developers know that the majority of users will have a kinect connected, they won't bother putting actual effort into utilizing it. The ONLY way we will get amazing kinect integrated games, and not gimmicks, is if
