“Gamers don’t understand what we’re offering them,” he said, neglecting to realize that people not understanding (or, you know, wanting) the product you hope to sell them means you’re not selling it to them.

There are so many other signs of living in a corporate dystopia, video game companies buying other video game companies isn’t really high on that list

And here I am trying not to gloat too much, after years of Playstation fans waving their PS-exclusives in my face telling me that Xbox sucks because they don’t have any good exclusives.

Microsoft screwing over Playstation owners and Playstation screwing over Xbox owners aren’t really equivalent either, because Playstation owners who want to play an Xbox exclusive title can play it on PC, whereas Playstation exclusives are almost entirely properly exclusive to Playstation devices.

There’s a big difference between “Xbox exclusives” and “Playstation exclusives” in the sense that Xbox exclusives are available for PC owners, whereas Playstation’s exclusives are mostly literally Playstation exclusives.

Microsoft has been offering the most cost-effective way to spend your gaming budget for a few years already and introduced a more budget-friendly version of their latest-gen console. That’s why people say it’s consumer friendly.

Slightly less friendly to Playstation owners, but at least Microsoft’s exclusives are

Honestly, I didn’t get bored of any of it at all until I had maxed out all the characters. I found the actual fighting to be really engaging personally, it was almost hypnotic to me.

If they had a steady pipeline of content being added, I could see myself still playing it.  But this is only the second new content drop

Not even anything about Megan Fox’s thumbs?

It’s true, most of us live such physically non-demanding lives that we don’t notice our bodies deteriorating until it gets really acutely bad, like you’re in your thirties and you hurt your back because you sneezed while putting on socks.

They don’t pay for the studio... unless the studio is Naughty Dog or Insomniac.

The first year I had GamePass, I spent about $120 on the subscription for the year. I also spent about $6 a month for Xbox Live Gold. That year, GamePass actually saved me about $180, when I compared the $120 the subscription cost compared the six games I definitely would have purchased for full-price at launch. Since

I have to admit, as much as I hate console exclusivity, it does give me a certain petty satisfaction to see the shoe on the other foot for a change.

At least Microsoft’s exclusives are also available on PC, whereas I’m sitting here knowing I’ll likely never play another Spider-Man video game ever again.

It’s entirely possible Starfield will have support for mods on Xbox; Fallout 4 had mod support on the XBone.

There’s one exception to games eventually leave gamepass, and it’s 1st-party Microsoft games. They’re permanent.  That also retroactively includes games that were made by studios Microsoft has acquired.

There’s like a bazillion different types of races and events to do. Just a big open map with crazy shit to go do.

But yeah, I enjoy it the most when it’s what you described.

The fact that their competitors in the console space have been outselling them, at least partly due to a strong roster of exclusive titles, is an important piece of context as well.

Exclusives are an extremely important part of getting people into your ecosystem, and that’s a very important part of console marketing,

Take it easy guys they ain’t Pokemon cards

“We’ve been coming to this planet and probing these people for decades in the name of science, and all we’ve learned is that the Great Leader is some kind of twisted ass-freak!”

This is one of those games where I become quickly infuriated at the fact they force you to watch an unskippable short video of one of the games monster’s flying over the landscape every time you start the game.

It always kind of bugs me when they do stuff like this, but when  you need to restart the game as often as

What if the overwhelming majority of games all had set-in-stone main characters that were of a different race and gender identity and sexual preference than you do... would you stop playing video games entirely?

If yes, then that would suggest that the precious primary demographic that you think video games should be
