Advising people to be more annoying?

One thing that works for razor clams is dropping a bag of them into boiling water for a few seconds, and then back into cold water. Their shell releases, probably under the same principle you describe.

My highlight was the updated MLB At-Bat app. They added picture-in-picture so I can play games while watching games.

I use the iClever version of this mount, and it’s absolutely my favorite car mount ever. The ease of grabbing and replacing the phone can’t be beaten. The grip is plenty strong, especially with the metal plates mounted to the exterior of your case.

You really have to be able to not afford your taxes to get this to work. Most of the OICs they'd accept require you to give them at least a good chunk of any net worth. It's great if you owe $150,000, smoked all the money away, and have nothing, though.

Best. Episode. Ever.

Wokfram Alpha has provided this kind of analysis on names for years. Just punch in a first name and it'll give you all kinds of data.

AirPlay on your AppleTV works great for that kind of sharing, too.

My wife accidentally signed my card once, so for two years I walked around with her signature on the back. Once, a checker even compared her sig to the one I'd made on the ticket, said, "Looks good!", and moved on...

Autopay!

Or just hit the Home button?

You're right on. The law in Washington says it bans using the phone for a "text message." Seems clear enough, but law enforcement has interpreted that as basically anything that displays text: Facebook, web pages, etc. They said in an article, "If we see people scrolling, we cite them."

Biggest annoyance so far is, when I plug into my car's USB port for charging, it always asks whether I should "trust this computer." I don't believe it begins charging until I affirm that question.

United sucks.

Best tip ever was making "eml" autocorrect to my email address on my iPhone. It's crazy how often you're typing that sucker.

You want an email for EVERY transaction at your bank? Yikes...

For a workplace desktop scanner, the Fujitsu fi-6130 is ideal. It's pricey, but is the perfect scanner in every way. Duplex scanning at 30-40 pages per minute, works fine with weird sized papers, good software included...it's ideal.

Technically, to account for 30% taxes, you'd divide the rate you want by 70% (100%-30%, or the portion you'll have after taxes), not add 30%. I know it sounds nitpicky, but the difference can be significant.

My coffee comes in a Mtn Dew can.

I've been using Win8, but would like to get back to 7 just to have the start menu search functionality they pared back in 8. It used to search Outlook from the start menu. Now it's at least 4 steps to get to a search that includes Outlook.
