My Dad went through a few Neons; ended up leasing the third one and buying afterward. For late-90's affordable compact cars, this had the best interior space for tall people, and the handling was a bonus. The QA/QC gods smiled on this particular car, as it lasted 15 years.
We had a guy on my HS team who could do this. I think we managed a few junk goals off funny bounces. The best part was coaches and boisterous parents who thought it was illegal, "or should be!"
What's less well done is the overall space all this nice detailing is crammed into.
