The check swing part was him announcing the actual baseball game, not included in his biggest fear. I didn't realize that at first either.

The commercial seems pretty obviously rushed, the footage and idea was good but if they took the time to find better font/music it could have been classic like the NBA post lockout "forever" commercial from a few years back.
Perfectenschlag
Thanks
Why are you directing that at Donovan McNabb?
Sorry to burst your bubble man, but FS1's goal is to become a competitor to ESPN. That means they'll be doing exactly what you're worried about, which is for the most part ignoring the motorsports in favor of more mainstream sports (with the exception of NASCAR).
This... $10 on a $76 tip isn't that bad, and without hearing his side we don't know if it's because of poor service or something like that.
Am I the only one who thinks this is kind of wrong of Deadspin? It's not even the famous guy himself, it's his son... Getting dirt to make fun of the kid is cruel and unnecessary.
It's a show of sportsmanship, it has nothing to do with whether he's a team player or not.
I'm generalizing a bit. I just commented and I'm a fan of Simmons, but it sounds like most of the people here aren't.
Deadspin (and their commentators) don't always share the same views as the general public. Most people, including me, still love Simmons' writing and find him the most tolerable of the people on the set of ESPN's NBA show. The guy's always had a tendency to be biased and maybe stick to a joke too long, it's just…
I know Deadspin loves to make fun of other writers, but this is actually a really good article. Props to Joe Posnanski.
