Ive seen a lot of people online saying that they’re not feeling it this year, and it does lack a lot of the “star power” of previous years. But at the same time, this is the first Mania in years with matches that don’t feel completely manufactured and are instead actually based on legit beef.

But if you look at why great films become great, it’s less because they are director masterworks and more because they create an image, character, or concept that audiences can’t shake. “The Sunken Place” is now a defining cultural reference as is the character of Rose Armitage.
