Since moving from New York City to Southern California, I’ve been gob smacked by the level of devotion Sublime commands. I think it’s because Sublime is the aesthetic equivalent of waking up on Muscle Beach in a puddle of your own vomit or creeping on 13 year olds who dress like 20 somethings.

“You Only Get What You Give” is such a great song. I mean, the lead singer is on Bono levels of insufferable, which is probably why people hate it, but those are some gorgeous melancholy moments throughout the song.
