I worked on a campaign in university. He lost too. I took is surprisingly hard, I think because I had written some of his material. I bounced around retail management jobs until I ended up in IT (as a non IT person). Overall I like it. Plus there are a lot of Geeks in IT and I’m a huge Geek so the fit is good.

Try taking a break from social media/ news/ your phone for a week if you can. I do that every summer when I got to my cottage in the north (Canada - a lot of us go north in the summer). No TV up there, no cell phone (save emergencies). Enjoy the silence. It really makes a difference.
