"You might feel like it's too freaking soon to retell Peter Parker's origin, but at least this movie digs a bit deeper into the material that Sam Raimi already mined ten years ago."

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I really love how we can't wrap our heads around a more natural Spider-Man, including a Peter Parker who can be an angry teenager because the shit in his life sucks —just like so many teenagers today. It's like everyone's forgotten that his quips (and career) as Spider-Man started,

From what I make it, a few other years left people completely blind from all that light bouncing off disco balls. It would explain a good portion of the 80's.

At this point I think I'm seriously going to write Ramis and Aykroyd and ask for a shot at helping, cause I can't see my ideas (many MANY of which I've aired on here over the last year or 2) being any worse then the stuff thats obviously keeping this movie from being made.

"If the lava itself doesn't send you into the great beyond, the deadly plumes of gaseous hydrochloric acid that rise into the air when lava comes in contact with ocean water will."

"Chinasmack also reports that the attacker (named Dong) had drank 1.5 jin [750g] of baijiu with his friends. But while most of the drinkers passed out, Dong went mad. "

Did you ever see/read Hannibal Rising? Where he learns that the most tender and tasty parts of fish are the cheeks, which he then applies to humans and becomes his serial killer signature? (he goes on to eat at least two peoples faces in that movie/story alone -specifically the cheeks).

Meanwhile sites like Kotaku use every chance they get to say "We're a news source, actually" while pretty much everyone I've seen on there still refers to them as a blog... So at this point there's either just general mass confusion, or the two have somehow become interchangeable when we all weren't looking.

Meanwhile, news sources everywhere, and even the US' CDC, are treating it like a zombie attack to get ratings and site hits..

Mad Max:

Thor 2:

"While we're on the subject of fan nods, I noticed that you put the Lizard in his lab coat, albeit briefly because obviously in the real world that creature wouldn't fit in a lab coat.

I think he means from the last sequel.. But even still, I really don't get everyones outright dismissal of this movie. It's a new thing, with the same character, its really no different from when they start up a new book, that goes in a completely different direction, while the old books are still going on.

"The penalty for wanting a career in show business? Being trussed up, threatened, and made to perform in a degrading stage show. "

First, I want to say your site just got a new reader, cause I love law (specially in a way thats easy to understand it) and applying it to crazy things.

Few things I find funny about this:

Definitely. And I don't think anyone would care if they did it as a cartoon as long as the writing was solid.

I'm pretty sure they are, its part of the reason they could allow the use of X-Men in cartoons like Super Hero Squad, but couldn't do anything really Spider-Man related (as in the new Cartoon thats either coming or is out -I don't have cable and I've lost track of it) till a little more recently.

I was hoping this was some kind of republishing of an article from the past, because this images are pretty old by internet standards. Still cool, but not very new.

I'd like to think if they didn't join, they actually wouldn't die. They'd just be able to run like hell in several different directions. Not the most elegant way to make it, but it is a way.
