It's OK to refrain from shaming, while being against obesity as a "normal." People who are about fat acceptance are not about ignoring the dangers of obesity, or ignoring the ways in which people get fat; fat acceptance is about accepting people at the weight they are, as humans who are valuable and beautiful in their

Every read Christopher Moore? He's fond of the term 'heinous fuckery'. I think the term 'palpable bitchery' is meant to evoke the same feeling.

Thank you! Sometimes linguistics and regional jargon DOES play a role in misunderstandings like these.

I wish this comment was further at the top. I've read everything he's ever written and I've come across 'bitched' or 'bitchery' as a synonym for 'fucked' many times.

English fail here.

I'm from Maine, like Mr. King and I think I can provide some further explanation. "Bitched" in Maine is sometimes used as a synonym for 'fucked', and he was trying to say that what happened to Dylan was fucked up. It was a poor choice of words, but his heart was in the right place.

I was chatting with my aunt about children's apps a couple weeks ago. I stumbled onto one of their other apps. It's a fun journey.

I hope someone makes an app were all you do is throw eggs at justin beiber until he dies.

If you see a sperm, shoot it.

While I thought it was a little odd when my ten-year-old covered his walls with One Direction posters, I would be severely creeped if he suddenly switched them for William H. Macy posters.

One of the funniest/saddest moments I ever shared with my husband was during one of our therapy sessions. The therapist asked him how he felt about what I said, and he thought for a few moments before saying, "I only have two emotions - good and bad, and I guess it's closer to bad.".

"but at least she is rewarded for her services"

I'm peacing out now because I'm not in a head space to have a discussion with someone who thinks it's ok to force their desires onto another person's body. It's a disgusting violation of human rights and I genuinely can't have a conversation with someone who thinks it is ever okay to put another person through that

1. I really don't understand how you think this system will magically exempt women who have been abused or raped. Whether you believe it should or not, a system like this would further disadvantage some of the most vulnerable members of society.

Like i said, my proposal carries difficult questions. I don't want to get too bogged down in the instances of rape

Being forced to give birth, which comes with a lot of pain, suffering, and risk for permanent complications- including death- is not even close to the same as being forced to pay a lot of money. If you don't want men to obligated to pay for unwanted children, fine. But it doesn't follow that because the courts can

So the woman would have to prove she'd been raped? What if she chose not to report it? Then a month - 2 months later she finds out she's pregnant and there's no evidence. Or for abused women, having to offer proof that you've been battered and then waiting for someone else to decide whether that proof is substantial

One of the arguments for why abortion is moral is that we don't consider it a moral responsibility in our society to use your organs to keep another person alive. If I were going to die tomorrow without a kidney transplant, and you were the only donor in the world who matched me, our society would not consider it
