I avoided investigating the murder scene right away - when I did, I found another star stone and it opened up a portal just below where the imp/weaver are. That portal leads to a banquet hall with an empty chest and I think 2 NPC's, one of whom sells mercs. They get more expensive based on level and you can only

You can "rent" npc/extra characters in the game. Early on you get a teleport ability that lets you access a base of sorts - after you unlock the first room in that realm there is someone there who lets you hire different NPC's of different classes. I specifically hired a rogue with bow skills because those were

Pedestrians with a walk signal are never required to yield to autos. Never.

I walk about 5 miles round trip each day to and from work in the Boston metro area - I always wait for a walk signal and only cross at designated crosswalks unless there are virtually no cars around. I still routinely have near-misses when

Off topic: Anyone know what couch that is? Or another like it that is durable and under $1000.00? I'm in the market and that style is exactly what I'm looking for.

I still use the Mite (at his 3rd evolution) but he is showing signs of weakening.

Agreed.

Crap, sorry.

Roku or PS3 - which is odd because they both do most everything, but no Hulu on PS3.

Apparently there is a BBC sports app for the PS3 which will allow Olympics streaming. That just solved my problem this weekend.

I don't understand why they couldn't have included some shots of actual food being cooked on an actual grill. This is great in theory but it's hard to tell how well they work.

My DH is still in Nightmare, how do caltrops suck in Hell? I use them with the passive skill that increases damage to slowed enemies, seems to work well.

This happened this morning. It's currently down till 9:00am Pacific time. I got up at 5am Eastern to play before work, no go.

Seconded - I usually play Diablo and similar games solo but have a friend who convinced me to play a lot of MP. He even brought his iMac over and we had a "LAN" party, which was good because it's hard to type anything while being mobbed.

It picks up significantly later on, even toward the end of the first act. Mobs are more frequent and there is less down time. Mobs also seem to get harder with new enemy types.

Came here to say exactly this. Also, in previous games, you could open a town portal and not use it right away. So if you saw a big mob ahead and had money to burn on extra scrolls, you could set up a retreat in case things got crazy.

Those are the same exact specs as my computer (including Phenom and Radeon 5770). Same results, max settings, no problems.

Yes yes yes, Elective Mode. More people need to know about this. I played the beta for a long while and when they switched away from Elective, I didn't realize you could turn it back on. Super useful early on when you might not want to have a non-offensive spell hotkeyed on one of only 3 or 4 available slots.

Came here to say this. It is very cool.

I would agree, but I found it worthwhile to pick up everything up until about level 6 or so. By that time you are getting blue drops and have a full set of regular gear and the gold drops are better. Early on I still pick up every little bit. Usually make it between waypoints before being overloaded.

When getting home last night I was unable to play. Then I realized they only took the Americas server down, that Europe was up and running.
