@Lassus: The huge LJ on the image is not LiveJournal (I thought it was too, at first), but LiveJasmin.

You can get "Low-Priced Editions" of lots of textbooks and the like in India for much cheaper. A couple of examples I've seen recently:

How come Obama and Gore get Nobel Peace prizes and not this guy?

@Andre Barnett: one for me too if you still have one to spare. hariharan022 [at] gmail.com

@Hesadanza: If you're using Linux, you can try dnsmasq. Almost no setup required, and, when I was using my ISP's DNS provider, it did improve the performance noticeably. The difference is not so great since I started using OpenDNS.

I use the Addon compatibility reporter addon which automatically allows all addons to work. As an added benefit, you can help out the devs by reporting whether your extension works or not.

VOTE: Pidgin

I second KMT. The convenience of having work mail, Feeds (and Gmail too, through IMAP) in one application is unbeatable for me. With Gmail UI installed, you get the easy search advantages of Google Reader, and quite a few of the other advantages are already available in it.
