My current vehicle (F150 SuperCrew) is almost 15 years old at this point and I was debating on something new. Especially since the kids are gone and I no longer need the dual purpose vehicle of it’s size. I was leaning towards an EV due to lower maintenance costs, and with solar it’d be nice to charge it with the sun.

Well that sucks, I’ve been trying to find a 2 door manual Badlands with the High package on a dealer lot (that’s not crazy marked up) and have given up. Instead I was going to put in an order. Guessing that’s not happening anytime soon.

A bullet going out makes a different mark than a bullet going in.

For me the biggest issue is rain. I HATE when it rains and I’m not prepared.

The fact that the car looks so generic and boring is whatever. The fact that companies still chose to use that glossy piano black plastic on interior around the controls bugs me like crazy.

Ford did something similar with the Bronco. In the 2021 model there were temperate readouts in the dials of the heat/ac units. For the 2022 they changed it to omit that due to chip shortages but didn’t tell anyone. Wasn’t until people started getting the 2022 builds that it was noticed.

In that case you’d hate Florida. Travelling around central and north Florida I’ve found that most don’t wear masks at all.

Wait, you’re telling me people still wear masks? I haven’t seen most people wearing masks in months. You’ll get the random person here or there wearing it, but the majority (well above 90%) of the population around here or other places I’ve been traveling around the area don’t even bother with them at all.

As someone born raised, left, and then came back to Florida. You’re absolutely right.

I know the feeling. I’ve got a 2016 F150 with 65K miles on it. It’s paid off and still in great shape. I’ve gotten multiple calls from dealerships wanting it. I took it in to get oil change over the weekend and they came out wanting to buy it from me right there. Offered me 35K for it! My initial loan was for 36K!

I

Keep it the same size. Just chop off two doors and extend the bed. Perfect truck IMO. I have a 4door F150 now as needed a truck and family hauler. Kids are now gone and want something smaller. But....*sigh*....oh well. Instead I’ll just stick with not having a vehicle payment I guess.

Right there with you. I got lucky and got a B-Stock 2080ti directly from EVGA right after the 3000 series was announced, but before release. Paid $450 for it (small window where these were CRAZY cheap). I fully expect to rock this thing for another year or two, sadly.

I actually got one of these BOSS systems (cheaper version) for my daughter as a graduation gift recently. I hate the look of USB cables hanging too. So what I did is take out the 12V Cigarette lighter and then put this in it’s place. Fits perfectly and now no more USB cables hanging.

With the wonderful full controller support for that game too.

I’ll admit that some of the flight sim games look rather dull from the air with a lot of repetitive textures. That’s why other companies have existed to make add-ons to make it better. BUT... The new MS Flight Simulator coming out changes all of that dramatically. They pulled in the entire world coverage they have

Yup, just wait until Tuesday when Microsoft Flight Simulator lands for the masses. Streaming the highest level of detail from Azure will chew up GB’s of data pretty damned quick.

I love little things like this. I love reading about things like this. But the title of the article was confusing. Granted I'm 43, and I guess out of touch with the lingo of the kiddos. So I asked my kids what slaps meant (19 and 17), and they told me. But then added to it that no one uses that anymore and it's

Grilling does NOT equal having a “BBQ”. That’s called a cook-out.
If you invite someone to a BBQ and you are grilling hamburgers and hotdogs then you’ve done went and screwed up.

To BBQ, you better have some for of BBQ sauce involved with some form of meat, preferably smoked in some form. Pulled pork, ribs, etc...

And of course I read that in Gary Oldman’s voice.
