It's strange. I actually like that the game tried my patience from a mechanics standpoint. I catch myself effortlessly breezing through all other games, but Dark Souls requires a calm investment and balancing risk vs. the reward.

I'm not arguing whether or not the lines were delivered well — they are certainly well-acted. I am just saying that he falls into the same hackneyed paradigm of EVERY BLACK PERSON IN A WAR MOVIE/GAME EVER.

I'm glad to hear it. I make a point of downloading all demos that pop up and I found myself really surprised by the weight of combat and how each and every bullet impact felt satisfying.
