experimental has to be on all homebuilt planes, its more of a classification than a warning. https://www.eaa.org/eaa that is the literal meaning of e.a.a. Experimental Aircraft Association. they do the Oskosh fly in.

It really means you get to be your own mechanic instead of using a licensed one. The experimental aircraft scene is pretty big in the US, check out Oshkosh.
