Were they giving away $250 iPods, or the lower models? I don't get why you're complaining when you've already been given an educational discount and $100 in very useful vouchers. Get over yourself.

I think it says a lot about you when you start complaining you're not being given a free luxury consumer good when you buy another expensive luxury consumer good. Divert your eyes from your MacBook and look at the real world and its problems.

I imagine most students who were buying a Mac already own an iPod, if not an iPhone.

And the clever thing about these promotions is that you always end up giving that money back to Apple. With the free iPod you buy iTunes music and with this you end up giving them 30% from Apple sales.

I'm pretty sure you never got up to $200 for an iPod. When I bought mine I just got the iPod normal price and had to sent the thing to apple for $70 off, regardless of which you bought.
